This number belongs to Donor Services Group who provide support to Greenpeace and several other progressive non-profits.

They called twice the same day--no message.  A Google search indicated it was solicitation for Greenpeace.  I have supported Greenpeace and will continue--but I don't like the "saturation calling."

Now they've called for the third time today.

okay so thats who it is.. i support them too but i get at least 3 calls a day and when i finally answered no one said anything..

Greenpeace is the Organization --> Repeat calls, multiple calls per day, no messages left. EXTREMELY ANNOYING. Greenpeace will no longer be receiving charitable donations from me, since they clearly spend entirely too much of their operating budget on calls to solicit donations.

They've been calling every evening for the past week, haven't picked up and they haven't left any messages.

I do not want unsolicited calls!  I am on the do-not-call list and am not a member of Greenpeace.

I've been getting this for days. This trick works on all automated calls. Thanks to the late Andy Rooney, take the call , then press the star key repeatedly...A LOT....it is the same sound as an invalid number to the computer automated system and will automatically delete the number from the computer database. I kept ignoring the call, and it kept calling. So I answered it, did the star punch and I havent had it call for 3 days now. Hope this helps everyone else. And pass this trick on...it truely works.

I'm glad I googled the number, cause its been calling me for the past week or two, never leaving a message, sometimes it comes up as unknown on my caller id as well, but it stayed on the line long enough to leave me a 2 second silent voicemail, so I noticed the connection between the number and all the unknown calls i've been getting.. I called them back after reading your posts here, and she wouldn't tell me why other than "we're fundraising, i'll put you on our do no call list" and then hung up on me.. I'm tempted to call them and cancel my monthly donation, that's pretty irritating..

they call every day, frequently more than once. I have never done any transaction with greenpeace. what ever happened to the do not call list?

It's Greenpeace.  They said they wanted to ask if I can donate more.
I told them I would like to be taken off, and they gave me this number to call.

I also have been receiving calls from this number. It started about a week ago, and they have called me twice but left no messages. From the other posts I can see it is Greenpeace, which I am a member of, but will certainly cancel soon. I signed up in San Francisco, however I don't live there any more. Thanks for all of these posts, they were very helpful.

I've been having trouble with this number, too! I called them back and I got a human Greenpeace representative after a few minutes of being on hold. I asked to be taken off of the calling list .. I guess we'll see in the next couple of days if it worked.

Calling me 2-3 times a day for the last 6 weeks.  I'm reporting them to Do Not Call.

I have been receiving random automated calls from several LA/Hollywood area codes in the past several weeks, after donating to Greenpeace for the first time. The first number (310-444-2679) would repeatedly call me and then hang up when I answered. Calling the number back just gave me a random-sounding voicemail message. I blocked the number through Verizon. Then after a few days I started getting calls from a second, similar number (323-330-1425) which was really irritating. After a few calls I tried calling back, and I got a really nice woman who quite pleasantly apologized for the inconvenience and said she would take me off the contact list. She said that they do call on behalf of Greenpeace. Hopefully this works and they take me off the list!

While I have donated to Green Peace , I certainly have not given them my phone number.
These calls are unwanted , no one even answers the phone so I can tell them to stop calling

Greenpeace subcontracts (I guess) with a California firm that uses an AUTOMATIC DIALER, so you need to call them back as I just did, & ask the pretty ladies to omit your number from future calls. Simple, but hassle is worthwhile cause, so forgive them in these tough times trying to save our Earth and make a better world for us all. Still support Greenpeace for sure. Please be tolerant for these folks, as they deserve it. Fast fix. Nice people. Sweet ladies are apologetic! 323-330-1425.

I got a call from 323-330-1426 this morning at 12:45 pm... they asked
for someone who doesn't live here...I get about 30 phony calls a week
from various people or supposed organizations.....and have reported them to the DO NOT CALL LIST Commission, yet I don't know if they investigate these calls and try to stop them. FTC Federal Trace Commission,DO NOT CALL LIST NO: 888-382-1222...they ask for lots of information,
 1. Name of company
 2. Have I ever done business with them
 3. Their telephone no.
 4. Their Address
 5. Time of call
 6. Contact Person
I don't know if they ever follow up on these. Good to know there are
others getting these calls, perhaps there can be a citizen's organization
for preventing phony calls?...

Just a thought....Does anyone really know what this organization is all about, and why they make these calls? It really doesn't make any sense!

Received numerous calls from this number over the past several weeks.  Called Greenpeace in DC at 202-462-1177 which was answered by an actual person.  I was forwarded to an automated response line which directed my to send an e-mail to info@wdc.greenpeace.org.  Received an automated response that had nothing to do with these calls mentioned in the subject of my e-mail.  The last call from the same area code had a slightly different number 323-330-1447.

Ummm, I may not donate to Greenpeace if they keep this up.
I much prefer to donate my money to seashepherd.org because of the excellent work they are doing to end the slaughter of whales in the
world's oceans.

I have been called once or twice of 3 times a day for about 7-10 days without answering (I screen my calls- who doesn't?) - anyways, when they called at 9PM tonight (4-7-09) I picked up to finally see who is stalking me.... and they hung up right away. Makes me question why I am donating to an organization that is basically harrassing me and then hangs up when I finally answer. My husband suggested I Google this number....considering canceling my monthly donation. What a shame...

They totally called me 3 times in the past week and each time my phone never rang, just went straight to a missed call.  I feel like I want to stop donating to Greenpeace now...

Calls me three times a day

I have gotten one call a day for the last week from this number.  Glad to know who is calling at least, but I wish they'd stop!  If I don't answer they don't leave a message.

This number calls every night at the same time, and when I answer and say hello, it hangs up... It is a real problem because They call after 8pm. If I don't answer they will not leave a message.

this number had called me sooo many times it's ridiculous. I am very sorry that I ever contributed to greenpeace. Anybody got any media contact ideas to let them know how stupid they are for pissing everyone off and ensuring that we never give them money again??

Did they take you off the list when you asked them to remove you?
