Doing a little shill boosting there aren't we?  ( as  another Red flag pops up!!!)    I Don't see how it would benefit you to imply that everything is kosher.  Are you concerned that the people who have won these great prizes may not be able to collect because others have warned them that it is a scam?  Especially when they can look it up on the internet and learn all about it!  Would that cost you and yours money?   You bet it would.  Once again,  we have suggested that this is a scam,  and you come here suggesting it is not......Who stands to gain the most  with the suggestions?       Let everyone who reads this thread be the judge,  since YOU have nothing to loose or gain????

Yeah...does smell kinda fishy (Phishie)  Doesn't it?    I too read about this scam.   Anyone who believes the posts that says  it's "Just hunky Dorie Okay"  'deserves to be scammed.   First of all,  Walmart,  Target, and any other retail is not going to be handing out $1,000.0  En Mass.  to thousands of people across the nation.  Secondly,  if in doubt,  call your local store and inquire about what's going on.   Third,  why would anyone be posting here suggesting that it's perfectly okay unless they have something to gain.  Out of the kindness of their heart?   Or to put a little cash in their pockets.

Again,  Anyone who goes for this scam,  deserves it after the warnings....Check it out with Target, Walmart,  and Check on line for warnings and complaints about this scam.   Then do what you want...

Readers Beware!!!!   Read 'jen'  post.   This scam has ruined some lives by stealing their identity by using a Trojan virus that gets busy on your hard drive.   These Winner!!! notices are popping up in areas that you trust!
For example,  If you google a well know auto parts site,  and during your visit a Pop-up jumps up declaring you the winner of $1,000.00 or other valuable prizes.  They will say Walmart,  Target,  and a host of others that you would consider legit.     Don't Go there!!!  Do  not click.

The scam is to get you to go to that sight.  You will be asked to click on a certain link.  When this happens, a (program)  virus will be downloaded to your computer.   It will then sniff out your hard drive for personal information that can be used to THEN SCAM you.   Your passwords,  bank account and CC numbers, etc.  Lots of info that can wipe you out as well as steal your identity.  And you will never even know what happened.   Not everyone has that information on their computer,  it's a crap shoot for them,  but when they score....they can often score big time....

So what makes this a scam? I got the same text. How is it a scam?

I recieved a text from 213-215-0480 saying "Dear Target shopper, your purchase last month won a $1000 Gift Card. Please Go to Site485.com to claim". Stop2end"

I replied the word "stop" which is supposed to stop unwanted texts but funny a scam company offers that feature.

I received the same text... makes you wonder what other information they have about a person... UGH

They are on to a new one. I just got one for target not

Got one this morning for target.  Different number 213-215-5864 and a website Site485.com

I got a text from this site as well claiming I purchased from target and I was rewarded a $1000 gift card

I received the same text, but mine said Dear Target Shopper.

Oh yes, the number was 3233039483

Well, guess what?  My message was from Target.  The message said that because of my purchase last month, (which I did not make a purchase at Target last month) I won a $1,000 gift card.

I just got one too from Target..The number i received from was 323 303 2924

I got the same text.

"Dear Target shopper, your purchase won a $1,000 Gift Card. Go www.SITE485.com to claim. stop2end"

Ugh. Don't people have anything better to do?

I got the walmart $1,000 giftcard offer also. Thank you for showing this is a scam.

Same msg as everyone else.  Went on internet to look up first.  Glad I did and found all this out!!  How do we stop this crap.???

I got a text message to go to SITE485.INFO to claim a $1000 gift card, from 1@link.243.com. Is this legitimate or what? No phone number given, just this email it was sent from.
