I've never received any calls from anyone at this number, but a so-called woman calling herself Ashley Katz contacted me on Facebook and gave that number saying if i wanted to chat then text 323-358-2539, so before I did anything I went to Bing and searched for any data about the number, I was 99% sure it was a scam.  When someone on Facebook or an online site gives their number there's no way to say so much as what gender they are.  For all I know this Ashley Katz could be some old fat guy who gets off talking dirty on phone text.

She is now going by Lisa Zordan....

I just gotta a message from an Ashley Bastida friended me on FB and sending me this message:

"I added u since I liked yuor pic.
What type of music do u like?
I gotta log out right now
Hit me up today 323-358-2539"

it was just too random. I didn't respond to the msg nor sent a txt to that no. I've now blocked this person.

Received a friend request from a Jessica Evanson  with that 323-358-2539 number   Had several friends in Starfleet INTL so I accepted not knowing any better.  Next to nothing in profile!  Phone number no longer working!  Supposedly born 12-19-90  Listed an email but she messaged me on FB  Nice pix..   What are you looking 4 in a woman?    er..I need to log out right now :(     Text me some time 323-358-2539  :)

Strange!   She has 23 friends!  I Defriended her after not getting any answers to texts & no input from anyone I asked about her!  She is not a member of SFI        Very unusual    Considering I don't put my status nor interested in to be asking me that!!! Trust No One!

I got the same message as "Lisa Knisely". Same phone number as well. Only had 21 friends and seemed suspicious.

The account that is sending these messages is a fake account set up to send these messages in hopes that you will respond to them via text message. If you do, you will be sent a link to a pornographic site, according to a poster here who did text the number.

If you get a message with this number:

1) Unfriend the person sending the message.
2) Report the account to Facebook as either fake, spam, or scam.

In order to protect your information, as there is potential for identity theft as well:

1) Go to your privacy settings at the top of the page in the left hand corner.
2) Hide the following:
Your phone number
Your email address
Your date of birth (you can hide only year if you'd prefer)
3) Hide your friend list.

Why am I telling you to hide this information? In the case of phone number, email, and DOB, there is no real reason this needs to be on Facebook. Anybody close enough to call or email you probably already has this information stored in their phone or email contact list. They probably know your birthday as well.

As for your friend list, I believe this is how this number is finding new contacts. Hiding your friends list will prevent the people you know from falling victim.

forgot to mention the scam is using muliple numbers, me and a friend both got this but the numbers were different, same name though

sent a friend request , added the  bi**ch, couldnt  really chat afterward cos I am not always on fbk , she then dropped her number and said I  should hit her up, same person , different names ,same scam story, common upgrade your strategy scammer.!
