I called the number back and it's a fundraising company.

I have many incoming calls from this number and no message left on my machine.

Calls everyday at least twice a day. No message.

I used to work for the company. They are persistant SOB's. Dont get your name down for any donation level or you will really start getting the calls. Nothing is enough is how we were trained. Get all you can get out of them. Oh, the calls are from out of state. So if you see the number, dont answer. If you are on the dont call list, answer and tell them to place you on the DNC list. Then, if they call again, you can press charges. That's the low down on them.

I got a call from 323-372-6325 saying they appreciated me for making a past donation which I did once but this time the guy paused for a while like if he was trying to figure out what to say and all you can hear in the background was rap music playing totally unprofessional thats when I decided to hang up! figured it was a scam or something he even changed his tone of voice. After the first two hello's

One time I donated to this group, and then looked up their website.  The reason donations are not tax deductible is because it is for a police union.  I ignore their calls or turn on the phone and put it next to the fan.  Silly I know but satisfying.

My daughter picked up the call from 323-372-6325.  A guy named Gary came on the phone and immediately asked for "Marie".  My daughter asked for the caller's name and he said that his name was "Gary".  The caller then asked..."Is this Marie?".  As soon as my daughter said "No", the caller immediately hung up.  She tried calling the number back numerous times, but everytime she did, all she would get was a busy tone.

I made the mistake of donating to a police charity once, and am now being swamped on a regular basis, with callers asking for money for either the Police, Sheriff ,or Fire Department. It is so completely out of hand, I am forced to screen every call with caller ID, before picking up the phone. This particular charity has been unrelenting, and calls all the time. The Do not call list will not prevent you from getting harrassed by orginizations like this or winding up on list that is as long as your arm. They are truly obnoxious!

same, I donated to cops and now get calls all the time. I dont answer them. I have three phones so they call every phone one right after the other.

I think they send messages to make u call back! I got a text from another number saying I had to call this number. The message said it was very important and that i had to call back ASAP. With no name!
I figure i should google the number and I found this. Im so glad i didnt call because I think this is a way they get your number! I dont know how they are able to send the text but maybe they use a online Textmessage service!

Todd, I can't prove it's the Ghana scammers, but I KNOW THEIR CALLS LIST VARIOUS OTHER TELEPHONE NUMBERS AROUND THE UNITED STATES, BECAUSE I WAS THE VICTIM OF A GHANAIAN SCAMMER, AND I HAVE NUMEROUS NUMBERS STORED ON MY CALLER-ID THAT HE "CONNECTS" WITH.  Of course, his cell numbers would also register sometimes, along with other numbers that he didn't have an explanation for.  He even called and it registered 2 numbers right here in my local area.  I'm in Eastern time zone, and if it's them, they will call you starting about 4:00 a.m. Eastern time (which is 8:00 a.m. Ghana time).  They use the IP relay phone system to also call you (the one from Cleveland, OH (216-416-0033).  They work out of their Internet Cafes all night, so they even call sometimes as late as 11:00 or 12:00 midnight Eastern time.  I've even had calls at 2:00 a.m., which is 6:00 their time.  Our police, FBI, and Secret Service don't have enough manpower to catch these "elusive" scammers.  I think the American citizens are going to have to organize against this type activity and take it to Washington, DC.  I'm about ready!

I AGREE WITH YOU 100%.  I'd be wary, with all the scammers rampant, about donating to any organization that is not tax-deductible, and also where you can't see a face, get an identification on them from the organization, etc.  I've received calls from 205 area code (Birmingham, AL) from the same type organization...some fraternal order of police or something like that.  They want you to supposedly donate over the phone, which means you have to provide either a credit card to someone you can't see, or to a company or organization you can't prove at that point, or you have to write them a check and mail it to someone who MAY NOT even be legitimate.  Once you do that, they have your bank account number.  Scammers from Africa and Russia are infiltrating this country and others; are largely supporting terrorism tactics.  Osama bin Laden stated that he was going to break the American economy by breaking out pocketbooks....he's enlisted Russian scammers to be the trainers of the notorious scammers in Nigeria and Accra, Ghana and elsewhere.  They are conducting all sort of financial scams, involving contributions, investments, buying/selling over ebay, etc.  Also, one of the biggest terrorist tactics bin Laden is using against America is in the form of "sweetheart" or "romance" scams, where they target single, trusting American men and women who are interested in finding a mate/partner.  I know, it happened to me....big time!  Look up "Nigerian Scams" in your google search bar....you'll be shocked at the criminal activity that is occurring, and more shocked at how they've infiltrated the American economy!

I have received many phone calls from this annoying group of people ... supposedly they are a fundraising organization for the police, but I don't believe it ... I think it may be a scam.  

Unfortunately, I have found that once you "donate" money to an organization, that every other "non-profit" organization gets your mailing address and phone number and will harass you relentlessly.  I never had all these harassing phone calls until I donated money to a wildlife organization.  I think these places sell you name, address, and phone number.  That's really sad!!!!

I'm acquainted with the organisation mentioned by earlier post, having made the mistake of donating to them once. They are relentless. Told them this year I had nothing to donate, recovering from cancer, they bartered me into $10  & then had nerve to hound me when check didn't arrive fast enough...this was first call showing CID after dozens blocked.  Anyway, it IS a CA Police-Sheriffs charity, "COPS," non-deductible.  Don't make mistake of donating n a moment of niceness unless u want 2be pestered 4ever!

I donated to this org. 10 years ago (before I knew it was a scam) and they have been calling me ever since.  I now get 2 or 3 calls a day, and, yes, they do call very early and very late, which I thought was against the law.  I answered one of their calls 2 months ago and told them not to contact me again and to remove me from their call list.  I still find their no. on my caller i.d. 2 or 3 times a day.  Very, very annoying.

I, too, have been getting two or three calls a day from this number.  What I find strange, is that when this call comes in it doesn't ring with my ring tone!! Have any of you experienced this?  I have also started turning off my phone at night as they call very late and very early.  If this truly is a telemarketing company, what are they trying to accomplish?  They don't even talk to us!!

We get these calls most every day. Like the other people who get the calls, I gave money last year to help law enforcement, but I will never donate to the police again. I've done a bit of research and found out this is a Los Angeles telemarketing company who does work for a lot of different types of businesses -- all using the same phone tactics. Perhaps the organizations who use CACOPM will realize, over time, that these tactics actually hurt their chances of getting money from a ticked off public.

323-372-6325  has been calling every day for a couple years, no msg. One would think they would have figured out by now that I am NOT going to donate anything to them. But I guess they are not that bright.

These jerks must be stopped! I called AT&T and they told me there is nothing we can do. Even if you go to the police station and file a report, they won't do anything about it unless the caller is threatening. I tried to use my *60 to block the number but it doesn't work. AT&T said the number can't be blocked through their system. I know my wife has donated in the past and I'm thinking about looking for a canceled check to trace them through the bank. Although, at this point, I've already wasted too much time. She has made out checks over the past year or so to COPS or something like that.

i got the call as well, when i asked the guy who is was, He answered "Mike", when i said "mike who", he said what's wrong with your ears? I said "mike". at that point i hung up on him.. these jerks call and use this police voice to try to make you think you're talking to a cop. if you have ever given to an organization that says they are supporting the police, you will probably get these calls. I am not sure if they are even legit. and for someone to be rude is beyond  belief...just say you are not who they are asking for and they have the wrong number, and they will then vanish.....and move on to the next sucker.

They are the California organization of Police and Law Enforcement Officers (or someting to that effect).  They are supposedly a non-profit organization but your donations are not tax deductible because part of the donation is used to pay the phone solicitors.  At one time I gave a donation to a law enforcement organization and since that time I have been contacted by many different organizations with different names all involved in supporting the families of law enforcement officers.  It is more than likely that if you are being contacted you gave money to some organization and this particular one now has your number and are part of the same network.  Because of this it does not fall under the do not call list.  They are relentless.

Like everybody else, I get calls 2 or 3 times a day from that organization (?) CACOPM, AT (323) 372-6325 on my caller id. They never leave a message or even answer when one picks up, which I no longer do. This is a bloody nuisance. I am also on the National Do not call list. Is there any way to stop those calls?

I get this company call but never leave a voice mail on my machine. Get who ever doing this Please.
