How are they getting the phone numbers?

Who are these people and how did they get my number??

Txt msgs: "Is your credit card debt $10,000 or more? Our debt relief program can lower your payments immediately. May we please give you a call?"

text saying is your mortgage too expensive? Our program can lower your high payments immediately.  May we give you a call?  The owner of this phone is, I have texted them back requesting them to stop.  Hope it works.

I also have recently requested an on-line quote from Geico.  Looks like they may be the common denomenator. Then they sell my number and turn around and spam me?  I'm NOT going with Geico!

I'm on Verizon and just got the one about the mortgage.  I haven't filled out any forms recently but I think this sucks.

I just got the text two times in a row, but I have Sprint. I recently signed up on the Do Not Call registry.  Is this a new way for telemarketers to get around that?  I'm going to file a complaint with the FCC as well.

It sounds like AT&T may hold some responsibilty. They either have had a breach of privacy in their customers cell numbers or given out the numbers voluntarily. I have the same problem. This could warrant a class action lawsuit against AT&T.

i only received this after I recently filled out a form with geico online for an insurance quote.  did any of you recently (as in 2 days ago) fill out any online forms?

They must of spammed a bunch of cell phone numbers today. I am on ATT too. I am on all the do-not-call lists. I filed a complaint with the FCC and everyone else should too. File FCC complaints online: http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm

So I called this number and it rang and rang. Then it said "Mortgage Scam Number Mailbox is full"

I called AT&T who is my service provider and they were no help. They told me I could change my number or pay $4.95/month to set up a service to block this number. Absolutely ridiculous.

Received this text message for last week: "Is your credit card debt $10,000 or more? Our debt relief program can lower your payments immediately. May we please give you a call?"

Replied "Unsubscribe"

Received the same text message today.
