I just wanted to follow up with the fact that I received another call from Ameristar and the rep by the name of Sue Wilminton.  I bluntly told her that we don't do business with her company and that I would not pay any invoice in their name unless they could provide me with lagidiment documentation that we placed an order.  She was taken back by what I told her.  She said that she would send me proof via email.  Abound 20 minutes later I received an email from them with an zero'ed out balanced invoice stating that there was an error on their side and that in fact in was not our company that placed an order.  She apologized for the "confusion". What a scam company.

We too received an invoice from this company via email.  Attached to the invoice was a 2nd page that said that we were eligible for gift cards because of our order.  That is what sent flags up.  I disregarded the invoice but then received a call from Sue Wilmington at 323-468-9258 trying to collect on the invoice and offering me the gift cards.  I don't her that we don't do business with her company and she would have to send me signed documentation of our order.  She "sounded" surprised that I would request such info.  She said she would "email me" with the info I requested.  For some reason, I don't think I will receive anything else from her. DON'T PAY THE AMERISTAR INVOICE!!!!

I also received a call today about an outstanding invoice from Ameristar. I asked the gal to fax me the invoice, which she did.  The invoice was for $1218.60, but the description of the items ordered only says supplies for a Konica Minolta. Yes, we recently had a new Konica installed at our office, but I only order toner from the company we lease the machine from. What a scam these people have going.

Our company received a similar invoice as the posting above, for 2 toner cartridges priced at $598 each plus shipping and handling. DO NOT PAY THE INVOICE FROM AMERISTAR!  This is a SCAM company!!!

Same type thing for me.  Got a call today from Tom at Ameristar for HP Products we ordered but were in collections???  The price however has gone up.  He was asking for $1,281.93.  SCAMMER!

I had the same experience with "Cindy Adams".  I told them that I was filing a complaint with the Department of Justice, and the next day I got an email back with the invoice at zero dollars.
I also filed a complaint with the US Postal Investigation Service - if they are stupid enough to use the postal service, then it's mail fraud!

Received the same invoice $1218.60 No one ever answers the phone just a recording. I really hope no one is crazy enough to pay this. Total Scam. DO NOT PAY!!!!!

Just received the same invoice. Same amount and everything. Told my boss and she's actually going to be persuing it further. Do they really think people are that stupid?

Got an invoice from these jerks for some printer toner. Address is a fake & the phone # is from California. Really!!! I hope no one is stupid enought to fall for this crap!!!

Also received that magic $1218.60 invoice from Ameristar. Toronto address and same story as other posters.

We too received an invoice from Ameristar - Toronto address, California phone number. When you call the # it goes straight to a voice mail asking for invoice # and other information specific to the Ameristar invoice. O and you will never guess what the total of the invoice is!  Yep $1,218.60.  Must be toner made of gold!

We just received the exact same invoice as you all have above for the total of $1218.60.  Two toner cartridges.  Total scam since the address doesn't exist and the phone number is a Cali number..

We received an invoice today from Ameristar for 1218.60. I called the this number listed on the invoice, it went straight to a machine wanting me to leave the company name and invoice #.

We received an invoice at our company from "Ameristar" with a Toronto address and this phone number. They are billing us for two toner cartridges -same thing - for a total of $1,281.93. We don't know these people and they are not one of our vendors. The price is of course overstated.

Got a call this morning from a guy from Data Solutions, saying that an invoice had been issued in error for HP toner. He gave me a confirmation number, said the invoice would be credited in their system. I didn't think much about it, I don't order supplies so I jotted down the info and went back to work.
Later in the day I got a call from "Brian" who claimed to be "the copier repair guy", who needed to verify the model number on the copier for a service call. We have been having problems so I gave him the model number. He said that wasn't right, so I kept looking on the machine, and asking him for more info (I asked him his name again, and what company because my radar was starting to go off). He dodged the questions and I knew it was a scam. I told him we never buy toner, he said he'd have his manager call me later in the day. I said our machines are leased and we don't buy toner, and he hung up on me.
In today's mail we got an invoice from Data Solutions, for $1,218!  We're being billed for two toner cartridges we didn't order, at roughly ten times the going rate of the toner. I filed a complaint with the FTC and will of course not be paying this invoice.
