I got a call this afternoon from this number 3235248405 saying I was going to go jail. I said Really? Hmm..I told the guy he didn't know any info on me who I was etc....He then started asking me my age etc...I knew it was scam, but it was so funny.

I spoke with the same Ronnie Cooper, who advised me that I was going to jail this morning. I kept asking this man who was bringing the lawsuit against me and he would not answer until after the 3rd time I asked and then, he yelled at me. I laughed the whole time because I found his tone quite amusing and couldn't believe that he thought he was going to scam me. What an idiot!

These people need to be stopped

A man from this number named Ronnie Cooper (some Indian guy) called stating that 1.) He was calling from a federal agency and later in the same call that he was an atty. calling with a lawsuit against me from a cash advance place I had NEVER borrowed money from. He proceeded to tell me, in not such a nice tone, that I would be going to jail this morning (It's 3:53 pm) and I still haven't went. He was very rude, yelling at me and even hanging up on me. I contacted my local sherriff's office and informed them of this call. The lady I spoke with was very polite and let me know right off that this was nothing more than a SCAM! She ran my name and sure enough, clean as a whistle. She informed me to let the man know, if he should call back, that I have reported their "office" to the local authorities and that it would be in his best interest to not call me again.

This man called from a call center, not a lawyer's office. He was a total do***ebag and so is everyone that works for his company. DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE ANY OF YOUR MONEY!!

I got 15 calls from this number today until I finally picked up.  The man with a thick accent left a very harrassing message about all these cases against my social security number, and I needed to call some other 325 number and talk to a Ronnie Cooper.  I did not call that number.  I had hung up on this guy after yelling to take my name off his stupid scam list, and he kept calling me back.  I told him I called the Police, which I did, and reported this number as a scam and illegal phone call.  He then hung up on me.  Frustrating....

ALSO, you can call your banks and stop all AFT (Automatic Funds Transfer) and/or EFTs (Electronic Funds Transfer) from your account or give a list of the companies you authorize to deduct from your account (for example: Insurance company, electric company, etc.).

Was just called again by a male with a strong Indian accent, using the name "James Wapson" (I had him spell it) from 323-524-8405. He said he was with the Attorney General's office and that I had three felony charges pending against me and I needed to wait 15 minutes then call his boss, Attorney Ronnie Cooper, at 323-524-8405 to resolve my charges. He insisted on me repeating the name Ronnie Cooper at 323-524-8405 back to him. Knowing my record is clean, I played along for a few minutes, refusing to repeat the name and number back to him really upset him. I ask him his company name and location which caused him to pause then said "California", nothing more. During the brief pause, I could hear another male with an India-accent talking to another caller in the background. He hung up.

One hour and 26 minutes later another Indian-accented male called me back asking why I had not called Attorney Ronnie Cooper yet. I told him because I had to google the number and get to my local police department before I did. And told him he was fu..ing with the wrong person this time. He said no that he was fu..ing with the right person. I laughed and said to keep talking because I was now sitting in a detective's office, he was on speaker-phone and was being recorded. He hung up and haven't had another call since.  I called the number back, getting "Karen's" voice mail, so I left "her" a voice male message with my first name and number (the number I gave was actually the police department's number).

Someone by the name of John Anderson called me on my cell phone and at work claimining that a lawsuit was being filed against me and my social security number.  He claimed that there were 3 criminal accounts against me for violation fo Federal Banking, Theft, and I don't remember the third count.  When I asked him why, he said that I received funds from an online cash advance place and that I failed to pay it back.  Then when I proceeded to tell him my loan was paid, the phone hung up.  I called back 3 times and a voicemail greeting with a woman's voice by the name of Karen picked up.  When I called the 4th time the guy I was speaking to answered, but when I gave him my phone number he hung. I'm worried because he had all of my personal information, ssn, banking info, address, email address, and place of employment.  What can I do to ensure nothing happens to my funds or my identity?  I'm a single mom of two and I just needed the short term loan to help get me through a rough patch.  I repaid the loan, but this guy is saying it hasn't been paid.

This is the second time I got a call from some Indian A---Hole saying I have a lawsuit for non-payment of a cash advance loan and I would be arrested tomorrow by the Sheriff. He first asked if I have an attorney.

This is twice now in the last 3-weeks and told him, this is a bull-s--t call. This really pisses me off.

His name is supposedly, Ron Cooper with: Cash Advance America.

I would love to see this guy arrested.

I was told my "Mark Watson" clearly not his name he caould call as many times as he wanted.  He was above everyone.

I asked him not call this number again.  he stated he'll talk to me later.

This amn with a heavy accent called my job on numerous occassion asking to speak with me or for my job to provide him with another phone number to reach me, when ask who was calling or to leave a message he started being rude, and using profanity.  He has threatened to continue to call my job unless someone gives him my info. I have no idea how he got my info but i'm hoping someone can help put and end to this foolishness. This harassment should not be allowed to happen to anyone.

I was threated by this office.  The individual spoke very broken english and told me that I owed a company $950.00 and I needed an atty. Randy Cooper Atty would not tell my why and when this debt was owed.  I would not give them any information about me because I have been scammed serveral times.. Atty Cooper told me to be expecting the sheriff office I told him that I work where the sheriff are.  He told me well that's a good thing.  I try to call him back and the voice mail said Karen......

This person called me several times both at work and at home and threatened that the Sheriff's office was coming to my job to arrest me if I don't call them back. I checked the number in 411.com and Google to find this a a scam. I will also contact the sheriff's office. And yes I did just get a payday loan before that calls started so it must be one of their employees stealing our information. I won't call them but I hope BBB gets them.

I had the same call and directed me to ic3.gov, asked me to speak with my attorney, and he (John) with a heavy Philippino accent asked for me but with my nickname- not my legal name. I just called and he is now Ronnie Cooper - he hang up.  If you have applied for payday loan online, they are scheeming us for our info and debiting cash from our bank accounts.  I learned the hard way.

I keep getting this call from this number  he leaves a voicemail claiming i need an lawyer, but when that number pops up on my phone id i would sometimes pick it up and he would hang up it is gettting annoying.

steve scott from this number called twice on Memorial Day. Yes I said Memorial Day.. and for someone with the name Steve Scott. he had a very heavy accent.. told me there was a lawsuit againt me and thst I need to call him back as soon as I got his meessage.. THIS IS A SCAM... i worked in the collection field... Itis against the law to call on a holiday.. UNBELIEVABLE

this little india guy keeps calling me trying to get me to call another number. thats so he can get my information, this is a scam , this little basterd screwed with the wrong one.

It was 8am on Saturday, I am disabled from a brain tumor and they told me a case had been brought against me in Superior court, I called the police and checked the number on Google and found out it was a scam.

This is the third time with different pyhone numbers but same scam....I went to local police dept. and the Det. called the number and identified himself and they hung up.....SCAM....SCAM

recieved call at my job and on my cell phone, threatening a law suit from the california state attorney's office with the company cash advance america, when i told him i was calling police he told me to s*** his*****, and if he put his dick in my mouth what would i do with it, i have filed a police report with the local sherrif

They have been harassing me for years and it does no good changing your number they will get it again along with any number that belongs to family or loved ones I have done as many have said and reversed the roles on them but they won't quit also a few years ago he was working with a man that claimed to be an attorney and he was just as rude and threatening ad the Indian sand flea that was supposed to be his secretary

I received the same call.  I traced the area code to California.  He gave three different names; once when he left the first message, then when I called back, and the third when he called 5 hours later that evening.  The first name was Michael Hartley, the second John Anderson, and the third wasn't understood clearly but didn't sound like the others.  The second time he called that evening, he called from 309-200-0194, which is a Colorado area code.  I was also told he was from the attorney general's office, that I owed something but not clearly what, that I'd committed check fraud, banking fraud, etc. but the company was writing off the money and filing a lawsuit against my name and SSN.  Stated that he was calling the sheriff's office, FBI to have me arrested; putting a freeze on my bank account and check card; and calling my employer to let them know what I've done.  This was all stated when I questioned his speel about what I'd done and the supposed charges against me.  If you pay attention to the speel he reads, then you can catch the inconsistencies within; i.e., such as, first he said that it was a lawsuit, then an arrest.  The attorney general's office doesn't perform these types of cases.  They refer companies to other resources to help them best.  I also called this number back and received Karen's voicemail.  Don't be fooled!  And, I agree, definitely don't give them any information.  Good luck and God speed.

I too recieved a call today about this. A friend gave me this website www.dfi.gov/consumers/alerts/national-payday-service-cashnet.htm as well as call 1877-ftc-help!!!
Report them I have four little kids and this scared the crap out of me at 830 this morning. They called me from 323-524-8405 and they came me that number to call back and speak to ronnie cooper.
