This guy calls at least 4 times a day. He sets on the phone and waits for a second. Then just says "hello"... or "Is Ted there?" and then hangs up. It's the most annoying thing and weirdest thing.

Hmm i am glad i didnt answer it then  did you get him to stop?  If so I would like to know

I received numerous calls from this number.  When I finally answered, the caller would not identify herself and hung up.

Update to my own - (typically I answer my work cell "this is Ray) {i know...bad habit}
They just called back (I think the same folks) using my name repeatedly telling me I was chosen for a complimentary "Who's Who" listing - trying to get me to answer Yes to several questions like, "can I ask you a few brief questions?"    Not wanting to be recorded and not in the mood to play with them I just hung up. I hope they call me back when I'm in a MOOD!

What's the use?
They call me and hang up when I say "Hello".

The salesperson (he, in this case) at this number was very rude, hanging up in the middle of conversation as if I bothered him  So whenever you get a call from him by mistake, just hang up before he does.  Or better yet, if you know who it is already, pick up, get him on the line, then hang up on him.

BB Trading goes by numerous numbers in LA.  So far, 323-545-9274, 545-9244, 545-9243, 545-9272.  If my machine picks up, they hang up.  Otherwise I ask who it is, Mike Gold.  He hangs up if I ask him how he got the number or tell him the person he asked for doesn't live here.  He calls probably at least once a week.
