I too received a call from this number twice this week. They said that I was a loyal customer to Comcast and would receive a $100 giftcard and supplements if I pay the $9.99 shipping fee. I held off and called Comcast directly and they did not know about it as they may give cards but never charge us shipping costs. I called the number that called me and it went to google voicemail.
Please be careful

He wanted to send me a gift card and suppliments, i said great ship it to your comcast office here in town. He said no he could not. I said fine, where can i send you my money order..nope couldnt do that either. Ok i finally said i was not interested. The whole thing was suspicious.

Received a call on my cell phone stating that he was from Comcast and for being a loyal customer they were going to send me a free visa gift card and also a 30 day supply of a supplement for free. I don't have to pay anything for either of those just 9.99 for shipping and I will receive it within 5 days. When I asked what happens in a month if I give him in credit card info and he diverted the question. So I was said hold on I am trying to verify who you are and came across this website. He assured me that he has my address information and that he will never see my credit card info again and then he said you are in Woodbridge right? Wrong. and I told him he was wrong and he says I don't know I have told you I have all your information and I said that apparently you don't if you don't even have the city correct you cannot even verify that, that's how I know this is not legit, remove my number and do not call again. And he continued to try and persuade me and hung up mid pitch. SCAM

Got a call from this number yesterday. They said I won a $100 gift card from cox cable. Then the person asked me if I was living at what use to be my previous town. I told the person they are not legit because we don't have cox cable in my previous town. They hung up right away.

Completely a bogus call. Claimed to be Charter Communications and I won a 100 dollar gift card for loyalty. There is Charter internet in my house but I'm not the account holder and my number is in no way associated with it. Couldnt give me the charter account holders name or verify other info about the account but based on my number it isnt hard to see there arent mamy isp's in the area so charter is a 50/50 chance. Calld them out and they hung up. Its depressing companies like this exist. Learn to make money like everyone else and dont bother me. Plus, the fact that they exist means that they are profiting on it, meaning people are too naieve to question anything which makes the situation that much more drpressing.
Word of advice to everyone, dont give out any personal information on an inbound call. No DoB, address, e-mail, ssn, etc. Your bank account will be a lot safer if you follow that tip.

I got a call from this number on July 5 in the afternoon.
I didn't pick up. I don't answer unless it is someone I know and want to hear from.
Thanks for the information on scammers, folks.

yes, this is the third call I got too. I told Jim that he is a scammer and he needs to stop calling our number. He want to send me a gift card from time warner cable for $25 gift card and $100 visa. All I have to pay is $3.99 for mail. Eventually, he said thank you. Next time I will make up numbers and give it to him. It is a google phone. I called back and it says leave a message. Be ware 323-546-7855 number. It is a Scam .

We received a call from this number and it was from Google. It was a voice mail call. We tried to call back but it did not work. Now I find out it is a crank call.

This number called saying they were my cable provider and my account number had been chosen for a free gift card and virus detector. They wouldn't verify any of my account information and just seemed to really want my credit card number to pay for the shipping and handling of my "reward." Once I told them I wasn't interested, they immediately hung up.

Received a call today, third call within a week from this number. I always let unknown numbers go to voicemail for this reason... if they TRUELY need me they will leave a message.

Caller claimed to be from RCN and wanted to reward their loyal customers, of which I am not, with free in home security. When I said not interested he kept asking me if I already have in home security. I hung up.

Call came in from Los Angeles, CA, the caller said he was RCN and was offering in home security free of charge. Said not interested and he repeatedly asked if I already had an in home security. I hung up.

I also received a call just now and a few months back. A few months ago they offered me a gift card from TWC and supplements if I would pay shipping. Today it was a hang-up call and when I called back a voicemail said that google subscriber was unavailable.

I got this call a few times. The 1st time a lady left a message saying she was an investigator for my bank and she was trying to contact me for writing bad checks. Then she added that this was my one and only warning to call her back to stop from "irreversible consequences" since she could not tell me my banks name + I could her hundreds of other voices in the back round I never returned the call. Now I get a call from this number 2-3 times a week. Pretty strange seeing as how it was supposed to be a "1 time warning" next time they call I plan on telling them that Iam recording the call and I am going to bring the recording to my lawyer. We will see how they feel about that.

someone from this number called my phone. I missed the call and tried calling it back. it said this google member was not available leave your name etc etc etc.....
| Uknown 2013-06-10 18:51:06 Unknown |
Why when I call the number back I get a recording that the GOOGLE VOICE user is unavailable?...
C'mon Google... get with it and shut these people down.

I got this same scam today. He said he was from Cox Communications which confused me, knowing I don't have any sort of service through that company. I told him I didn't have any sort of payment on me so I could look up the number and he said he would call back. It seemed extra suspicious when he didn't know my first name or any address to send this "free gift" to.

Guy called my saying, "Oh, this is Comcast, as a loyal customer, we are sending to you $100.00 gift card. OK?" I replied, "oh yeah?" He hung up, so I called them back, this is a GOOGLE phone number. I left them a nice message that if they call me again, unsolicited, they are in violation of the FCC Law, that states, they are liable for damages of $1,500.00 per call! Oh, I hope they call, I can use a few Gs right about now! :^{~

Called me. Same deal. Time warner rewards, but I hav never used time warner. 100 $ gift vard and some suplement for 9.99 ome time credit card fee. They didnt know my name althought I was "a valued member". Offered a verification number when I sarted with my questions and accusing them of scamming. From my research online they are using quite a few different numbers and companys name s. Beware all! Any bit of common sense the things they say do etc ahould set off red flags. Its been said o. Here bwfoe if some one calls YOU never give out your info. Make sure you are the one calling for legitimate product and company before giving any personal especially credit card numbers out!
