It is likely that they are blind dialing which means that the operator does not get the call unless someone picks up.

That is why they never leave a message. I get the same for other charities.

My wife donated last year and we keep getting a call every night. I blocked the calls. My wife has cancer and we do not take any calls. But I do have software that will put them out of business if it continues.I do beta testing for Microsoft. I can format their computer and also sent them 5,000 phone calls from my computer.  I am also on the DNC List. When I report them they will be in deep trouble. That is if they still have a phone line and database. I am getting ready to set them up now.

They keep calling me.  Thankfully, my landline phone has a "block caller" feature. So, now, whenever they call, the block feature just drops them.  

Amazingly, even though they keep getting dropped, they keep on calling.  They're really stupid.

If they have time to call me five times in two weeks, they have time to leave one voicemail to say why they're calling.

Thanks for the info. I DO support them and will take the call next time. Makes sense why they don't leave a MSG. Cud be harmful in some places.

This number calls me a couple times a week...so annoying!

This number calls at least once a day everyday - and I mean everyday for months. I haven't answered - assumed it was phishing or sales related. I support the HRC and their cause but I cannot possibly answer twice a day all year long. It's pretty ridiculous.

I get called every day.  Finally figured out how to block.  When I picked up before it was just quiet.

PLEASE STOP CALLING MY NUMBER!

2/20 15:27 PST  Odd I am the first to report this number this year.  Only rang once and since I have not intentionally blocked, must be a robo caller.  Wonder if they have been harassing people using other numbers.  Whatever the case may be, after reading previous notes I wouldn't have answered even if it rung enough times for me to pick up.  Simply don't answer calls from numbers or names I don't recognize.  Since I haven't spoken to anyone, I can't really respond to what type of call this was.

I have been called several times and each time I have requested to be removed from this distribution list. I am sick of my request being ignored.I Have been getting calls from them all summer and it happened again today on February 12, 2014. People get it together this is beyond ridiculous!!! Fix your system I am over it. STOP CALLING ME!!!!

Called and left no message on my cell.  I don't recognize the phone number and don't know anyone in LA who would want to call me or a family member.

I get at least two calls from this number on a daily basis.  When I call or text back asking who they are I get no response.
How do I get them to stop calling? Also, how could they have gotten my number?

This reply is nonsense.  They have canvassers on just about every street corner in downtown Chicago.  They have a web presence.  That doesn't remotely sound like an organization that doesn't want "their name thrown in a message" as you put it.  The call according to my phone originated in Belgium, which is odd because one would think that if they are fund raising, they'd do it either locally or at least stateside.

If you are such a good organization, why are you bugging me with a call every day for the last week. Wise up if I don't pick up the phone when I see HRC on my caller ID give up. I am not going to pick-up. This is harassment and doesn't help your cause.....

I have given them donations and now they are calling every day and not leaving a message.  The last time I spoke with someone they were pressuring me to pledge.  I didn't want to at that time  and then they sent me a pledge card saying I had pledged $100.  I told them to take me off the call list.   They didn't.   Way too pushy and it has annoyed me to the point they won't get any more donations from me.  It's too bad because they have done good things.  Listen up HRC and stop these pledge tactics.

Yes this is the Human Rights Campaign calling. They are calling to either, thank you for your contribution, ask for a donation, and just because you were taxed for it doesn't mean they are making any significant amount of money off of it. If you don't want to pay them any more, then don't. If you don't know who they are, chances are that you didn't pay them any extra anyway so calm down. They are in need for donations and don't have time to leave a message and waste time. Plus since they are a Gender and Sexuality Minority organization that is surrounded by controversy and stigma, they are probably not going to want to throw their name in a message. They call far less than other telemarketers so calm down.

They have been calling lately to talk about what is coming next, esp with this most recent win. Leaving a message is not an option for privacy and safety reasons.

The Do Not Call List is flawed because of all the loopholes Congress
Allowed to be written into it Years ago !
Charities , Political organizations & People doing surveys are all
Exempted from the DNC list. Plus any business or one of their entities you
have had a relationship with is exempt too.

Also crooks & con men aren't going to follow the rules of the DNC list

Keep getting hang up calls from HRC, I don't answer calls from Unknown numbers . Since
they never  leave a message I ignore them.

When will the telemarketing industry understand that a lot of
people now ignore or block these robo-calls ? If they are Legitimate organizarions they need
to wait for someone to answer or leave a message.

I have been a member for 11 years and never received a call from them until this week. The young man was great and explained the reason for the call was the importance of the 39 state with gay marriage. That with the supreme courts decision next month it was necessary to build support and money from their members to continue the fight. I was okay with it after i found out it was the HRC. What is five minutes to take a call if we can bring millions out of second class status in the country. Answer, Donate and Support......

While I support the cause, I prefer not being called.

I'm fine with supporting LGBT rights ... as long as they aren't giving the short end of the stick to the T part. I currently have problems with the HRC's treatment of Trans issues (and no money to support anyone).

They called my work and hung up - a look at the incoming call log said the call time was "0:00"...and then they called my roommate's cell phone too - has anyone received calls on their cell phones from this place?
