OMG he told me the condo on 211 Jamaica ave belongs to him and his wife. He will send me keys via FedEx once I send him 1300. He said he's a missionary and lives in Africa with his wife.when I called the website they told me the place is not available for rent.

Yeah his newest thing is a Zillow posting under the name Paul N Bartlett. It's a Chinatown, DC listing for $700. Again he gives the whole tired tale of being in Nicaragua and can't show you the apartment (though he sends fake pictures) and asks for a Western Union money transfer before giving you the keys.

Even though he's in "another country" his area code is from California. He got annoyed when I kept asking to see the apartment before transferring the money, and kept saying to "trust in God."

Haha some people. Contacting all the DC apartment sites to flag his ad.

I am so glad I finally got his phone number and found this website. Same story. It is a 2bed/1bath condo listed in Trulia and only asked for $700 in Irvine. His name is David Chen and email is pproperty46@gmail.com.

I just got messages from this number. I thought it was too good to be true. It's the same story everyone was talking about. Christian mission in Nigeria. Asked for $1800. Thanks everyone for the heads up. I almost fell into this scam.

So glad I found this website....this same guy told me his name was Stephen Falin, and tried to scam me over a rental property. I was skeptical because of his poor grammar and his eagerness for my information. He made the mistake of texting me with the area code of 323 after telling me he was in Nigeria.

He's name is David P Kujda he has a listing on trulia house for rent for $1, 200 in santa monica ca.need a deposit of $800 and he will mail the keys and document.Stated he is in Christian Mission in Nigeria. Good thing I search him first before I fall on this scam.

Yep still trying to scam people....attempted same rental scam with me.  Stated he was owner of home and is currently doing christian mission in Nigeria and looking for tenant to rent his home to without showing home and only sending pictures via email. Wants money for deposit wired to him internationally and then he will send keys and apartment information.  He said his name was Bruce Dickerson.

Someone pried off one of my rental property's lock box ,got the house key inside and went into the house stole many things. And then I got a call second day from one of the listing agent said my house has been rented by someone called Scott Curnutt, And he sent the key and the garage door  opener which was inside the house to  the tenant agent and claims he is the owner of the house.   he called from  323-638-9371,and make tenant send money order to him. Too many  Scumbags out there, wide open your eyes and double check everything before you move forward.

Yep, it is a scam. Thanks guys for helping me pick him out.  On emails his english is very poor.  Made me suspicious so I found this.  Blocked his number, reported him to the authorities.  With a search of his number you can see he has numerous listings in Dc and NY.  Shame.  Scumbag.

TOTAL SCAM.  Out of country and wants rental deposit via Western Union before mailing out the keys and will not answer legitimate pertinent questions regarding his so called "rental listing". He's not even able to show the property BEFORE renting out.

This guy tried to scam me also. How stupid do you think I am? Mail him my check and he will send me the keys. Please bi***-go to hell! People Suck!

This is a scam - he has several real estate listings around the US but claims to be on a mission for Christ in Nigeria, so just send him the deposit and he'll mail you the keys to your new rental.
