Perspective from the other side: First and foremost, I hate telemarketers but I also have bills since my normal line of work isn't hiring me, but this is the only company where I got hired and was advised to leave for being "too sincere"... This is a sure sign our world is bound for perdition. My response? I filed complaints with the FCC, FTC and the state that very evening.

Like others said, they'll hide behind fake names and information, use high pressure sales tactics, refuse to honor the do-not-call list and threatened to fire anybody that pressed the "DNC" button, even having the nerves to claim that "the only reason someone will reject your call is if they're having a bad hair day and they'll be the sweetest angels the next morning". Sorry, I don't know who you're calling or what your clientele is, but I am NEVER happy with receiving a call from pushy salespeople twice, and I WILL get mad if it's the same company I requested to not contact me, regardless if I'm having the worst of days or the best day of my life... People that are angry that we're calling "again and again", often reminding us that they are on the national DNC list or requesting that we stop contacting them accounted for 75% of my calls, and the other 20% calling the bluff on their lousy, terribly written script saying "we contacted you before, you nicely told us you weren't looking for anything and told us to try again in the future"!, and only 5% that actually had an interest in remodeling their house, but almost all stop short of the actual order

I love this one about the "East Indian voice" - nice twist and fitting justice, Dave.  You could also offer to help screen their computers for viruses.

Instead of criticizing this website and berating its respondents, if your business was legitimate, you'd be going after the spoofers for tarnishing its allegedly good reputation.  And if you were based in America, you'd spell better.  Finally, promoting yourself as a former "insurance adjuster" only makes your own reputation worse.

Got another of those calls today.    This time the guy acted like he was some long lost friend and then wouldn't stop talking as I kept asking him what company he was with.  He just wouldn't stop talking.  I finally hung up on him.  I've made complaints about this number before.  They still keep calling.  Gonna try FCC.
I wrote an e-mail to goldremodelinginc and telling them to stop this if they are related to Gold Remodeling at 430 S. Western Avenue.  We'll see what they say.

A girl from this company called at 10:19 am on Feb. 15th asking for Mrs. Alperson. I asked, "who's calling?" She hung up. We frequently get calls from this number even though we're on the Do Not Call Registry.

These scumbags call daily!! Sometimes it's a female and sometimes a male. They are rude, talk over you and know my last name. I told them to stop calling. They call with this
Number  and several others. Sometimes as private callers. If you call back any of the numbers they are always out of service or disconnected. I never talked to them about remodelling!! How do we stop these annoying calls???

Recently they call from 223-636-6237  ["Name Unavailable"] calling themselves the "Home Improvement Center." Claim to have called last January 2012 to avoid the TCPA DNC law proscription on calling 2x w/in 12 months. But they LIED, as noted above. Their salesman showed up yesterday in a 280Z convertible, a tad surprised when he was asked for his written DNC policy. He hemmed and hawed when asked why Gold Remodeling calls itself the Home Improvement Center.

My number is a 714 area code!  It is the northern Orange County CA's area code.  We aren't all bad!  The 310 is Long Beach and the 818 is Glendale & surrounding LA countys.  I think the 323 is a new Los Angeles area code.

Anyway-all the people I know with 714 #s are pretty darn cool!!

answered a call from this number and the man at the other end made a crazed laughing sound.  glad I answered it and not my kids.  It would have freaked them out.  It was creepy

As far as my husband and I are concerned all these 323, 714, 310, 818, etc. numbers are all one and the same unethical scum, so much for The national Do Not Call List, more like The Feel Free To Call Without Any Consequences Whatsoever List. It's time to invest in a phone with call block for us.

These scumbags called me again this morning about a home remodeling project.  Similar experience to a bunch of other people -- they said we'd talked back in January and I'd asked them to call back (WRONG - NO WAY IN HELL).  The CallerID showed the name as LSAN DA 02 CA.  The CallerID is spoofed (ILLEGAL) -- if you call back you get a message that the number is not in service.

So I figured, I'm working at home today, let's screw with these jerks and make them spend some money.  I set an appointment.  They called again with the same CallerID info.  Told that idiot I already had an appt scheduled.  Then they called back to confirm the appt for 5:00 P.M.  Around 5:30, the person who was coming called to say he wouldn't be here until closer to 6:00.  He called from 818-749-9839 with the name Liron Ohayon displayed.

When the guy showed up at my door, he said his name was Ron from the construction company.  I asked for a card, which he provided, and then said "Thanks, that's what I need to file a complaint against your company for illegal telemarketing activities".  Then I shut the door.

The scumbag company is Gold Remodeling at 430 S Western Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90020. Their License is 955584.  Their website is www.goldremodelinginc.com.

Now it's complain time.  I'll be filling out a DNC complaint, and FCC complaint and file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

We have getting these annoying calls. Today Sunday, Jan 13 at 9:30 in the morning. I decided to call the number and said the number is no longer in service or disconnected.  So I read the posts below and I will report them and definetly shutting my phones off on the weekend, jerks!

They called again this morning and again, THEIR CALL WAS BLOCKED!!!!.

FOLKS - buy a call blocking phone!!!  They're inexpensive and they WORK!

just do what we do send them on a wild goose chase to an empty lot. When they call back ask them to read back the address and then tell them they transposed the numbers and send them out again and again. On top of that I use my East Indian voice to make them work harder to understand me to get my info.

Chaos831, you are ingenuous. I like that idea. The same woman called me at 4:57PM today with that same line. She said she spoke to me last year and I was very nice. I informed her that my house was brand new and I didn't need anything. She replied, when you a purchase a new car, eventually I will have to make improvements. I informed her I was not interested and I hung up. Then I blocked their number.
Next time, I will act crazy.
