The number on your caller ID is from a call center that is performing servies for United Referal Services based out of Ft. Lauderdale, FL.

I spoke with Jason Badura at United Referral Service.

Please call their direct line at 1-888-332-7240 and tell them to remove you from thier call list.

I get calls from these turds repeatedly!!
They claim to be a debt consolidation agency. I'm assuming theycollect you account information and then proceed to lower only your credit rating through ID theft.
I got harrassed by them last summer and had to threaten them with imminent death to get off their call list.

Started gatting calls again last month.

I hung up on the dude today and he called back from 973-735-0021 (New Jersey).

Scumbags are gonna get killed if they don't knock it off.

how can i stop this call. This is getting ridiculous. Cant we sue them for harassing

Answered call from this number but other party hung up due to answering machine.  When I tried to return the call the recording says the number I dialed is not a working number.

It's a collection agency. They didn't leave a message.

"Kathryn" w/ heavy accent calling from "American Financial" for GHS Solutions of Del Rey, FL. Kathryn works for a marketing company that sells leads to GHS.

Had some guy call me at 12:18pm...The called me by first name then said he could lower my interested on "my credit card".  Very generic.  I let him mumble on for awhile.  I stopped and asked him what exactly he was calling for.  "About my credit cards".  I asked him "which one?" and he hung up.  I have two cards with a zero balance...stupid companies.

2-9-10 Called before or right at 8 am.  Left no message but thanks for all the info listed here we won't bother to pick it up next time.

I got a call from this number and an Idian sounding gentlemen said that he was with American Financials and he wanted to help me reduce me credit card debt. I told him that I was interested since I don't have any credit card debt and he informed me that they could cut my interest way down. I again informed him that I didn't have any credit card debt and then told him that my number is on the do not call list. He said oh really? I said yes and it has been on there for several years. They really need to regulate companies that call cell phones especially cell phones that are on the do not call list because telemarketers won't quit calling them.

What you guys need is an audio spear - sends a tone through the headset that scrambles their brains and turns them into a permanent  vegetable.  Saw one one on the tele last night. I think it was in a movie though.

I did some investigating of my own... this group is based out of India, they hi-jack a name from someone in the US and then hi-jack a US phone number, but if you were to call the number back you'd find the number isn't in service.  It is totally a SCAM!  Once you answer YES to their questions they will continually call back and change their look, so to speak.  One of the calls I received was coming from a person in Gordon, NE... contacted the local police dept and the Chief of Police assured me that no one fit the description of the caller in that town (the town was predominently white and native American, no one of India descent and a few other details regarding the number / name on my caller ID).  I have registered complaints with both the Florida Attorney General and with the DO NOT CALL Registry.

Debt renegotiation company

Call was from American Financial, a company that supposedly does consumer debt restructuring.  They call me a few times a week, usually from slightly different California-based numbers, and I nearly always ask them to put me on their "do not call list" and then hang up.  You talk to a screener that asks for you by name, claiming they have information that you have a significant amount of credit card debt.  If you confirm that you have more than $10K card debt, they claim they can cut your interest rate and payments, and transfer you to a specialist.  I let it go this far once.  The specialist was a qualifier for Consumer Law Group of FL.  After collecting too much information about my credit accounts, including the account numbers, he told me he could cut my interest rates from the current 20-30% down to 5.9-15.9%.  All I needed to do was authorize a $501 payment for the initial fee (to cover the service) and then they would monthly take an electronic transfer and pay my cards.  It sounded pretty good, but here's the thing.  I couldn't find any positive information about their company that didn't appear to have come from the company or its marketing people itself.  I did find lots of cautions about paying any sizeable fee for debt restructuring.  I did find horror stories from people who paid for "debt settlement", a different process that essentially destroys your credit and tries to force the credit company to negotiate a payoff.

Bottom line - this company is extremely pushy, and I cannot verify if they are legitimate.  The callers are nearly all foreign, probably routed from India or somewhere through CA.  They do not accept no for an answer.  The latest one argued with me about "do not call".  They always call my cell phone, but have also called my home number.  In my opinion, the FCC needs to go after this company.

Got a call from this number on Feb2, 2010.  I have no debts in arrears and they wouldn't state what account number it was in reference to.  But they did say it was in reference to "my credit card".  When I asked them to clarify why they were calling they hung up.  I tried to call back and got a recording that it was a not a working number.  I think they are a scam

They've been calling non-stop for the last week. 3 to 5 times a day. Got a call this morning, before 8am. When I asked him if he knew what time it was he got all huffy and said it was almost 8am. Well, that don't cut it, Bub! Guy was trying to sell me on his credit card company while I'm hanging up the phone. Amazing. I have one credit card, completely paid off.

received a call from this number but no one on other end.  called them right back and received a message that this was not a working number.  don't know how that is possible.

PS. I do NOT have any debts in arrears and I am actually making extra payments and paying ahead of schedule. My credit score is above 800!! I am not responsible for my room mate's debts. Call the right person and not me.

Received a call on January 28th, 2010 at 10:38 am Pacific time. I have not picked up. They called me by my first name and hung up. I was unable to call back as the dialing does not go through.

some people made my life hell in just one day and i am gonna sue them soon.. this is one of the number out of those calls...
