Got the call at 9:10pm EST, which is illegal for any solicitation, telemarketing, or bill collecting agencies to call after 9pm. I didn't answer because I screen calls. they left no VM so i decided to call it back and got some rude woman on the line. she said if I didn't know who called me and they didn't leave me a VM then i shouldnt have wasted her time by calling her. She announced the company as "Debt IRS" to the best I could make out.

I had contacted them online to get info on debt relief and got a phone call back.  I talked to the guy for awhile and said I'd think about it.  I did my homework to find their BBB credit score was an F.  So no thank you.  I emailed the guy I had talked to, he seems decent, but I keep getting phone calls from a ton of other people from that business.

The name of the business is FDRS-federal debt relief system

HAve been receiving multiple calls and voice mail messages from 323-785-1680 telling me I have been approved but it's really important that I call Carolyn back right away at FDRS at 877-943-8600.  I have not requested any information from them and do not know who they are, but cannot seem to get them to quit calling me.  When I ignore the call they just immediately call right back again.

Hello,

Consumer debt has become a huge problem, and Federal Debt Relief System recognizes that. The average American with a credit file is responsible for $16,635 in debt, excluding mortgages, according to Experian. (Source: U.S. News and World Report, "The End of Credit Card Consumerism," August 2008)

Fortunately, many institutions and organizations exist that are driven by a mission to relieve consumers of their debt.

Federal Debt Relief System is committed to helping consumers with debt relief and has proven it can do so. Here are what a few of our members are saying about FDRS:

"FDRS has been a great help to me... My counselor has been great and a blessing. They both have been a God send. If you or someone you know is in debt, consider FDRS." David R., PA

"Thanks so much for all of your hard and dedicated work for us, we really appreciate it so much!" Marita B., NY

We wish the best of luck to all those seeking relief from credit debt, and encourage you to fully explore all of your credit relief options.

Thanks for the opportunity to share our information.

Sincerely,
Federal Debt Relief System

From Federal Debt Agency, I actually requested them to call; for debt consolidation.  THEY ARE A SCAM.  THE REFUSED TO SEND ME INFO regarding their service.  The guy kept trying to tell me a whole slew of excuses why I needed to sign up NOW.  I asked to send me material to look over; then I told him I wouldn't sign up over the phone without more info and he hung up on me.  HOW RUDE.  DON'T DO BUSINESS IF THEY CAN'T PUT IT IN WRITING!

Hello 800Notes posters,

All of us know that the world is in serious debt today, and many of us have experienced debt firsthand. Among young adult households with incomes below $50,000 (two-thirds of young households), nearly one in five with credit card debt is in debt hardship-spending over 40 percent of their income servicing debt, including mortgages and student loans. (Source: "Generation Broke: Growth of Debt Among Young Americans")

This fact illustrate what we all know. Consumer debt is a BIG problem and it is growing. Thankfully there are many institutions and organizations driven by a mission to relieve consumers of their debt.

Federal Debt Relief System is driven by this debt relief mission and has proven that it can do so. Here are what a few of our members are saying about our services:

"Thank you for all of your time and hard work! You've been responsive and helpful the entire process." Jake & Sash M., CO

"What a blessing that I found FDRS. I'm telling anyone I know about this company. For me, this has TRULY BEEN A MIRACLE. I'll never be able to thank you all enough..." Veronica R., VA

Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to share these facts and member opinions.

We encourage you to continue to explore your options for debt relief and genuinely wish financial freedom to all of us who are in debt and looking for a way out.

Sincerely,
Federal Debt Relief System

These poeple place ads on Craigslist.com (under SALES)and telling people that they can make $10-$15k a MONTH. But what they REALLY do it take the information (telephone numbers) from the resumes they receive and solicit those people. Thats how they get their 'lead generation' by placing FALSE ADS so that they can get phone numbers...

They have been reported.

I want to make this clear for anyone considering joining FDRS or any other scam company that offers debt termination services. It is a scam.

The scam is based on the bogus "no money lent" argument, where the claim is made that credit card banks cannot loan money legally. Through strange leaps of logic, the scammers claim that credit card banks are actually operating illegally, and so you never really borrowed any money when you used your credit cards! Therefore, you don't really need to pay anything back. You just have to follow their system and the debts will go away because the banks don't want this knowledge disclosed to the public!

I realize this may sound ridiculous at first glance, but the con artists are very convincing, California State Attorney Generaland there are dozens of websites promoting this dangerous scam. They refer to publications by the Federal Reserve Board, the Uniform Commercial Code, the Truth in Lending Act, and other public laws to bolster their claims and give an aura of legitimacy to their "program." I've talked with numerous consumers who have been conned out of $2,500, $5,000, even up to $15,000 because they believed the hype that these snake-oil salesmen were peddling. If you're $30,000, $50,000, or $100,000 deep in credit card debt, it can be very tempting to believe in a magic pill. What if you could pay someone 15% of the debt and make the rest of the debt disappear?

As tempting as the promoters make it sound, the debt elimination techniques they are using simply do not work. About the only thing they accomplish is getting you sued by your creditors. As you might expect, creditors hate this scam, and they come down hard on people trying to use this bogus "no money lent" system. You don't need to take my word for this. Check out the complaints on ripoffreport.com about Liberty Resources, a debt elimination scam that was shut down in Ohio. Or do some research on New Leaf Associates out of Florida, a scam that was shut down by the Florida Attorney General after consumers were ripped off for millions of dollars. I've personally talked to people who were caught up in both of these scams, as well as others who were involved in scams that have not yet been shut down.

Folks, there is no free lunch. The only thing such "debt termination services" will do for you is take your money. Their legal theories are total nonsense, and the courts do not recognize their arguments. These are the same people who also claim you don't need to pay your income taxes either. As tempting as it might be to try one of these services, you'll only get yourself in deeper trouble with your creditors.

If you have already been scammed by FDRS please report them to the Federal Trade Commission ,The
California State Attorney General as well as your own state attorney general , The Better Business Bureau and the FBI. Here are some sites to help you file complaints

It's Federal Debt Relief System, also known as FDRS at fdrs.org.

They advertise heavily on conspiracy sites and radio programs,  pro Ron Paul, anti Federal Reserve, but after over a month of investigating and getting nothing but complaints, I'm almost 100% certain that they're a giant scam.

Despite my written request, they have provided NO evidence whatsoever of being able to eliminate debts.

I received a call from them and did not answer because I didn't recognize the phone number.  Someone who I couldn't understand left me a voice mail that said something about Federal........ and it was very important that I return his call immediately.   I thought it was from the federal government or something and I was in trouble.
Don't let these people trick you into anything.  I am going to report them to the BBB and call and tell them not to call me again or I will sue for harrassmet.
