Yep,  I heard from Douglas this past weekend.  wanted to buy my guitar and would pay extra ($50) for me to hold it until the money order cleared.  Almost fell for it!

Craig list scammer, tried to by a musical instrament.  Same crap as with every one else. Say's his name is Douglas.

Now, contact the bank the check is drawn on to verify it is bogus or take it to your bank and ask to speak to someone who handles check fraud.  Bring all the documentation including the FedEx mailer with you.  Let them investigate and turn everything over to the proper authorities.  Only if people take these extra steps will this scammer possibly be arrested along with any accomplices.  Doing nothing will simply allow him to scam more victims.

Same thing...he has been texting constatly trying to keep me updated on check delivery! It came to my house today via FEDEX I knew it was b.s!!!

The same basic scenario that's already been described here occurred today with this phone number. I don't have any additional information about the caller.

Just seen this. Same guy same story. Even sent me a check. Good thing I didn't go cash it.

Ditto.  Said wanted my items listed on Craigslist and "would pay my price". Only problem was he couldn't look at it, because he was out of the area, and could only text.  Said he would send Cashier's check to cover goods and shipping.  I told him it sounded fishy, so no pick up or refund until the check has cleared the bank.  Then I Googled the number.  Thanks for posting, confirmed my suspicions.

These scammers don't want your item, just your money.  They set up a fake "shipper" and send you a fake check.

Got  the same request. Pay me by check and then send someone to pick up the item i am selling.
