This is an absolute scam. I've been posting my laptop on Kijiji and within about 2 minutes of posting it I get texts from these type of long distance numbers saying the exact same thing. They quote the full title of the Kijiji ad, saying they want it shipped to their cousin,fiance, pastor, etc overseas. Will pay more than what i'm asking.  Now for fun I just play around saying sure you can buy my laptop that I'm selling for $300, just add another $2000 on top of it. AFter that they stop.

But currently i'm stringing this phone number along for a full 2 days. Giving him a fake paypal email address, etc. Giving him excuses why I haven't mailed it out yet. Gonna waste as much of his time as possible.

This is a scam!! Texts asking you to send your item to them with a PayPal payment

I posted an ad on Kijiji to sell an engagement ring. This guy contacted me via text and told me he wanted to buy it for his fiance, but was on a business trip and needed be to ship it to her, said he would pay $500 extra for me to ship it.  He asked for my paypal email address, which I gave to him, however it seemed fishy so I deleted my paypal account. He kept asking for more information and than offered to send an email money transfer. Told him I didn't want to to do business with him and stopped responding to his text. He was very impatient (sending me things like "hellloooooo....." if I didn't respond in 5 second to his text. This guy is a scammer for sure.

I posted on Kijiji for my son a computer and 2 guys texted me at the same time, both offered me the money I was asking plus $200.00 shipping, one said he was on a business trip and wanted to ship to his fiancee another said he wanted to ship to a friend, amazingly both were in Nigeria that they wanted it shipped to?? so obviously scam, one number is 518-328-4978 the other is 328-835-1408

Just received a text from him wanting to buy my wedding ring! What a do***ebag.... Thanks for the warnings!

This guy is texting me right now asking about my iphone and telling me to ship it claiming hes on a business trip and willing to pay me 200$ extra to ship it.

Just got some SMS feeds from this number a few min. after posting some camera gear on Kijiji Ottawa.  
Has the typical "I'm buying for a friend, but I am out of town" B.S.  Offered to pay an extra $300 for the shipping.
Scam written all over this-- so obvious!  I have blocked additional SMS from the number and have reported to the Canadian Anti-fraud Centre.  I recommend people do this.

He was wanting to buy a engagement ring and a band from me... ship it to Nigera, and a fake Paypal e-mail... since when does Paypal come to your Spam box, it definitely wasnt legit.

A guy sent me a message for a laptop that I was selling. It was multiple texts and I didn't answer the messages. In the period of 24 hours he sent me 28 texts telling me that he had already sent the money into my paypal account without me even approving any transactions. I didn't even tell him what my name was. Clearly a scam.

Clearly another scammer abusing the PayPal system, he's trying to buy my engagement ring for $2000 plus add $500 for shipping! I won't be doing business with this person and I urge the rest of you to be careful if anyone offers you these offers

This person just messaged me for my BB Torch 9800, and wants to pay me 200 to ship the item for him. Ridiculous and smells like a scammer. Still insisted after telling him it is only for local pick up.

Pretty sure this guy is a scammer. He wanted to buy my iPod touch on kijiji but only wanted to do it via paypal.  Be Wary!

Yup, same for a laptop on Kijiji. He wants me to send it to his wife in Nigeria. The latest scam is to send someone money via Paypal, once the item is shipped, they put a claim on the amount and are reimbursed.

Received a text on an item I was selling, asking me to give out my paypal address, and to ship out of state.  Thinking it is a scam but not sure but sure seems fishy.
