This was a text message I received from 323-835-4843 and my cell phone number is registered on the National Do Not Call list.

I received a text this morning as well from this number. And on November 7, the same message was sent to me from 424-333-6069.

My cell provider is Sprint and all I had to do was text "block" then the phone number and sent it to 9999.  I got an immediate message back from Sprint saying texts from this number were blocked.

I also forwarded the spam text to 7726, which spells "spam" when looking on a phone keypad. I believe most major cell providers have this option.  I got a message right back asking to give them the phone number of the spammer, so I did.

The allure of free money makes some people take leave of their senses!!

I just still fail to understand how the possible excitement of winning a gift card causes so many people to take leave of their senses.  The only explanation I can come up with is that they never had much sense to begin with!

Yeah, you and all the million other people who have received these spam texts.

What in the world did you read in my post that led you to post your phone number on a public website for all to see??  Which part of "scam" isn't clear?

Any body knows how to block text from this number?

I've heard about these spam texts for a while and I finally got my first today.  Two of my friends' email accounts were hacked last night and I'm thinking there is a connection -- the hackers had access to all of the contact info, including my cell phone #!

My text said "Your entry has won!  Go to bestbuy.rwdzne.com/?2 and enter the code "1122" to claim your Best Buy gift card.  Must claim by 11/30/2012."

Scam and reported to Best Buy.

I received the same Best Buy text - this is the third number sending out Best Buy scam texts.
