Just had the same thing happen.... We actually drive to where he said the house was and it was empty. One of the neighbors asked what we were doing or who we were looking for and we told her what happened and she said it is absolutely a scam.

Craiglist scammer. Had me going for a little bit via text. Something sounded fishy, so I googled the number and this page came up. This confirmed my suspicions.

Spammer via Craigslist. I posted a car for sale and his bot texted me the listing's headline. I responded to it with "Very good, robot." A human took over at this point, and asked for the price.I told him that if he has my number, then he has the price too. Then he responded with "give me the price now". Blocked him via google voice.
