This number is a fraud number and not to be trusted. Don't even go there. He is whiny and bad at english so it is easy to feel bad, but don't. Just don't.

File a complaint with your phone service provider and if you have FB, make sure its set to private. also google your name & phone phone number. Anyplace like spokeo that shows up, make them remove it!   You'll be surprised  how much information shows up out there you don't know about.

So I got a text from this number telling me that he knows me and that I he found my number on facebook. He said I talked to him before and he wants to get to know me better. He said his name is Mark Johnson and he was going to get ripped off from Louis Cano and Donnie. This is freaking me out here!

The number just messaged me for a ring set for sale on Kijiji.
Asking for price, which is in the add. And they sent multiple messages.
They asked about a paypal account like you said they would so I responded with "I just googled this number and I'm not up for a scam. Please do not message me again."
So I'm hoping they get the message and leave me alone.

Same happened to me, they wanted to buy an expensive ring without seeing it and wanted me to use Pay pal. Very fishy!!!

I had the same number just message me also saying "hope the item is still available" I replied by saying yes it is they responds by saying "can you accept paypal as my mode of payment" I responded back by saying " Yes I would but before i exchange that information I want the person to view the item in person" they says " well I am in the USA & I then reponds by saying "I just googled your number & there isnt good feedback so Im not interested in selling to you. I haven't heard from them since.

same thing on kijiji, I have had this happen before, don't trust it

i live in manitoba canada, i also got a text from 3239292919 from california???  the text read "hope the item blah blah is still available"  / to me it looks like a scam, where they would give MORE than the asking price, but 1st WE MUST send them money..... smells fishy to me, i am not going to answer the text!!!

This number txts me from California with no name, as I put a ad up on KIJI in Canada to sell a item, doesnt call me but txt they hoped I still have the item, I am not calling back as I can't txt to them and I have a very bad feeling as I live in NS, Canada, and if they were really interested they would call, the item is for local, or in Canada,  I feel this is a scam.
