"they" are at it again - calling home phone with no message. we stopped supporting kcet after they stopped being the pbs station

Received two calls from this number.  Both times they did not say anything after I answered.

I too have been receiving calls from this number (3x today).  I'm glad I look on this blog so that I could call them to tell them to take me off their list.  I told them that I was furious that KCET would resort to this kind of telemarketing.  Thanks everyone for your posts!

Continually receive calls from this # many times a day.  We have never answered the phone when they call.

I received a call from this number today 9/20/08.  The name shown was "Unavailable."  No message was left.

This is the phone number for Member Services at KCET, Public Television in Los Angeles.

keep on receiving calls from 3239535238.  who is this?   i am on the no-call list for my cell phone.

Way to many calls a day from this number!  urgh! I do not answer it.

This # belongs to KCET's telemarketer. Call the number. It will connect to the offices of KCET. Make NO selection and you'll be transferred to the operator. Be nice and explain the situation and they'll remove your # within seven days or less. If more people do this, the telemarketer could lose their contract.

Calling my number 3 or 4 time in a row, no one there when I answer, very upset will never send a dollar to KCET!!!!!!

Unfortunately, I have heard that "non profit" corporations are exempt from the no call list. I'm not sure how acurate this is but if it is true then the laws should be changed. KCET has been calling my cell phone every afternoon for three weeks now. Since I NEVER pick up an unknown # I waited to look up this # first. In KCET's defense (grudgenly), I suspect that they have contracted out this phone calling to an outside vendor who could care less about how it irritates folks. This is still a HUGE blunder in marketing terms from the Mgmt. of KCET. If anyone from KCET reads this please STOP this idiotic calling!

If this in fact KCET calling my cell phone without my permission they are making a HUGE marketing mistake. I have been a past supporter (not any more), of KCET but when they dropped out of PBS that was it for me. I watch KOCE now and am a member of that station. Just because KCET made financial blunders (bloated beuracacy) is no reason for them to harass us on the phone now. Get a clue KCET ! Stop the calls!

I feel the same way about KCET. I have been a member off and on for years but now that they are calling my cell phone EVERY afternoon I will never give them another dollar. They don't have that much to watch anymore anyhow!

Caller started in to his pitch and I told him I was on DNC list and he hung up.  Dont know who it was.

I called back and spoke to a KCET agent and had my number taken off their list. Took about a minute.

Called several times at dinner.  Did not pick up but quite persistent.  Caller ID just said 'unavailable' so wonder if it is still KCET.

Has called several times.  I never answer.  It it's KCET, I'll make sure I don't contribute in the future.

They call frequently because we formerly subscribed.  Now we watch on the Internet the few programs that still have some appeal.

They call at least once a day - sometimes twice a day. Totally annoying.

Automated system called my voicemail and left no message.  Then when I picked up there was no voice.  Strange for KCET.

No message left on voice mail.  A terrible advertisement for KCET TV.  Makes me never want to contribute again.  Haven't they heard of the NO CALL list.

This number called my cell phone repeated times and I did not answer and they did not leave any message.  I was tempted to call back but have not.  Upon researching the number it does say its KCET TV Station.  I found that to be quite odd.
