He was interested in my phone that I was trying to sell on kijiji and he can't meet up in person due to being over seas. He would only do paypal OR western union!! Thanks for posting info on this guy everyone, it really saved my butt!

This is for the Texas Attorney General. I do not know if they will actually do anything , since money has not been lost, but at least they will be aware of it.

this bi*** tried the same thing with me. I say we all flood his phone with harassing texts and calls. turn the tables on this piece of s***. I usually tell bi****s like this that I will give them the item for free if they meet me in person to answer for themselves.

We're you able to do anything about it? Guy recently tried scamming me too. But I haven't send him anything he just send me a text telling me why am I scamming him he wants me to go pay $800 to get someone to pick up my truck. But I said I don't have $800 that until his money got added to my account I couldn't do anything.

Because am purchasing this as a surprise for my family and i will offer you the amount you require..I can only pay through PayPal at the moment as i don't have access to my bank account online, So please get back to me with your paypal email address

I recieved a text from this number tonight after posted my car on CL,  pretty much same scam mentioned above.

Surprised gift for family
Referred to the car as "it"
"I dont have access to bank acount online"
"I will pay you amount you require"
Wanted to make paypal payment immediatly
Wanted to see more pictures

Ditto here.  The only things consistent about these people are their modus operandi and their intentions.  Do not do business with them!  I received the same texts and stories about a car I advertised on Craigslist.  Many thanks to all of you for your warnings.

I just got the same text.  The person said they wanted to deposit the money into my account immediately without saying anything about transfer, delivery of car or anything. Said it was a surprise for his family!  What a joke.  As soon as I mentioned I was an attorney, the calls ceased!

I too got a text from this SCAMMER and he was willing to pay my asking price thru PayPal and buy my 92 BMW sight unseen as a gift for his mother. I wanted to call him but he insisted on texting ONLY. Something sounded weird about the whole deal because who buys a used car via text, offers the asking price and has no desire to even see the car first? The only thing he would tell me was that his name was Will John. So I decided to google the phone number and found a few listings like this site, listing him as a scammer.

Yup same here, i received a text stating they were interested in buying my buggy and wanting to make the transaction through paypal, then i asked "why not with a cashiers check", he or she insisted paypal then i said ok but then i asked how would he or she pick up the car.  i didnt recognize the area code so i googled it and realized this scammer is in texas. That gave me a red flag and i googled the entire # and i found this. thanks to all of you i didnt become a victim. So to anyone else be aware of this 325-261-0541 scammer.

THE GUY IS A SCAMMER. I CANT BELIEVE I FELL FOR IT. Claimed he want my ipad mini for his wife. He sent me paypal emails that were FAKE. Now my ipad is being shipped AND MY ADDRESS IS ON THERE. NEED ALL OF YOU HERE TO HELP PLEASE. Maybe if it weren't just me reporting it to the police they will stop this guy faster!!!

Craigslist scammer trying to rip you off !!

I rcvd a text from this person using the same #. Same song and dance as the others- he wanted my Paypal account #, did not haggle the price and said he was buying the boat as a surprise for his family. I told him he could pick up the boat when funds were securely transferred to my bank and accounted for.  Seller beware!!

this number also text me for an ad on craigslist. try to take my information to steal, but i am smarter than him/her.

I received a text almost immediately (within the same minute) after posting an ad to sell my car.  The person asked for my paypal account so that he/she could deposit the money asap.  Since I didn't have pictures posted, he/she expressed an interest in seeing photos.  I posted photos the next day, and texted back to see if photos were seen.  He/she reported that he had seen the photos (This is when I began to feel suspicious because he didn't respond to photos until I mentioned it, and he didn't comment on the $3000 price increase; though, he still seemed eager to deposit the money into my account).  I asked a number of clarifying questions, like "From where are you texting me?, How do you intend to pick up the car? and What is your name and email address?"  He said he was texting from Iowa, though the area code is from Texas.  The only honest response I got was an email address willjohn0213@gmail.com.  At this point, I declined to do business because he refused to reveal a name or to talk in person.  That's when I googled the phone number and discovered that the number had been used before by a scammer.  DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS PERSON!
