Same thing... Calling about my Windows computer. When I asked what computer, he responded with the one at your place. When I asked what place, he hung up on me.

Same business as above i.e. that they are from Microsoft and are getting error messages from my computer. In this case,, I had been getting pop-ups saying they were from Microsoft Security Essentials with the logo and everything. I bit for a little while but when this joker who can barely speak English called, I knew it was a rip-off. I'll clean it up myself. They're getting better.......

To echo other posts, Conrad is a lying scumbag scammer shill!

Here's the thing folks. Why, I repeat- WHY, would someone search a phone number, click on the link for 800 notes, come here, & post a POSITIVE comment, when there is no reason to search the number in the first place? They are happy with the service. It's like checking on a car repair shop after they repair your car. Makes no sense. THAT is what makes "Spot the Shill" on 800 notes so easy! Anytime you see a "They're good", or "I got a loan", & the comments are out of context with the posting: They are FAKE! Planted comments by foreign criminals, who are probably the one's that messed up your computer in the first place.

I KNOW THEY ARE NOT FROM MICROSOFT BUT THEY PROVIDED ME WITH VERY GOOD SERVICES FOR MY COMPUTERS. MY COMPUTER WAS NOT HAVING SOUND DRIVERS, IT WAS VERY SLOW, HAVING LOTS OF VIRUSES AND WHEN I RECEIVED A PHONE CALL FROM THEM I TOOK THE SERVICES AND NOW I CAN SAY THAT I AM REALLY VERY HAPPY WITH MY COMPUTER. EVERY TIME I CALL THEM THEY PROVIDE ME BEST SERVICES AND TREAT ME VERY WELL.
SO ALL I WANT TO SAY THAT EVERY CALLER IS NOT A SCAMMER.

I received a call to my cell phone on Jan 21. Like the above message, my caller ID showed 'unknown' He gave me this number, his name plus ext. #. He said that he was David with Windows and that my PC is infected. He told me that the only way to get rid of it was for him to talk me through the process while I was at my computer. I told him I did not know him, nor whether or not he was with Windows. He said he would call back next day. I ran a scan/check with my antivirus and found no problems. I do not plan to take further phone calls from this person.

Received a call from 'Steve' with Microsoft Technical Department. Informed me that I had malware/spyware and was receiving error messages from my PC. They called my new phone number I have had for a month and there is no way it is associated with my Microsoft registration. They wanted remote access to my PC to 'fix the error'.
