Got a call, same phone number and same area.  I also explained that they completely sounded like a scam.  The two guys don't even speak English properly!

Yes, I received a similar call from IRS impostors (phone 325-500-0533) on 4/21/2014. Fortunately, I had read about this SCAM before. I told the caller "off". But, some how we need to find a way to stop this nuisance as it is terrorizing / wripping-off hardworking, innocent law abiding citizens. Can the phone companies not seize their phone numbers?

Mine is similar to yours however it was against my mother who never worked in her entire life. I received a call from the officer Matthew Eastman from phone number 3255000533 who claimed that my mom never paid taxes from 2000 to 2009. And the amount is 3,467.48... If I don't settle that with them over the phone using a government bond my mom will be arrested in 2 hours. Picked up from her house and be deported to Lebanon. Also her passport will be confiscated. . In the beginning of the phone call he ave me the option to hire a lawyer- in the end that is what I chose - immediately he started to scream at me and called me a habitual offender. He told me to pack my moms suitcase because in two hours she would be in jail. One last thing- the total amount that he was asking for was 4,626.48... That includes late fees and 4 certificates of declaration that my moms record is clear and clean. He also refused to take a debit card for payment. Please be careful...

SCAM!!! For tax.

This is a scam, give them a complicated question and they fumble.

I just got a call from this number 325 500 0533 , looking for my husband, and said that he is from IRS and he owed tax and will be in jail soon. I said " how do you know that you are not a scam?" and he got pissed, and said" Fine, I am going to get sheriff to pick him up then you know I am for real" , I said, " You are scam and go ahead call any one, I dont care !!" and I hang up the phone. We dont owed nothing, hide nothing, so I know this is a scam, and the guy have a weird accent too.

I received a call from 'Officer' Steven Butler this am from IRS stating I or my attorney needed to call back as soon as possible or I would face the consequences. This is a scam for money. Please be careful and don't pick up!

I am posting this in many places so that people know about this evil scam and are forewarned. I had the misfortune of picking up the phone this morning (caller from San Angelo, Texas, 325-500-0533) when it rang and was stunned beyond disbelief to hear that an arrest warrant was pending against me and I would find myself behind bars in a couple of hours, for 4 counts of tax frauds/evasions/ theft by deception! The names of these evil, miserable creatures who ruined my morning: Officer Rico Lopez who then transferred me to his "superior officer" Tony Williams and they said they were from the "Tax Crime investigation unit of the IRS". Or it could be settled out of court if I would pay them a few thousand dollars through government bonds right away. That was  a sure red flag. When I asked the guy how I could be sure if this was legitimate, he got wild and said he will straight send me to jail! My passport would be seized, my bank accounts frozen, and other horrors... I have called and reported this number to my phone provider. Oh and by the way, when I asked how come I never received any notice before, if at all, he said they sent out 2 legal notices last year... lie after lie. Hope they rot in hell, harassing innocent law-abiding people. Folks, please be careful and don't give out any info.
