These folks are a call center for a handful of Universities.  I was getting 2 call at a time a few times a day.  They were calling on behalf of Saint Thomas Univ in Houston for potential enrollment of one of my children.  The young man on the line was pleasant and did not try to drag on like you get with scam calls.

I also got calls from this number. I highly suggest not answering or calling back any number that you are not familiar with if it an area code beyond this area without checking it out online first. Abilene TV news report shared that some calls are from another country yet start with U.S. area code and when you call them back you get huge telephone bills.

Scummy for-profit call centers are simply raping the non-profits and their donors. The crooks working the phone deserve all they abuse they get and more. Can't take the heat? Get out of the boiler room.

I just got a call from this number. I graduated from ACU in 2001. Ironically, I worked for Ruffalo Cody my freshman year. That was a rough job!  If anyone ever did answer the call, they were ticked that it was me and hung up on me. It's just college kids trying to earn a paycheck. No need to be mean.  Just tell them no...three times!

Apparently this is a fund-raising organization for the 3 universities in Abilene, TX.  I am a 1969 graduate of Abilene Christian University and I am sure they are wanting to hit me up for a donation.  They did that last year, I gave a sizeable donation, and was supposed to get the newest directory for my support.  Never got the directory or any explanation why it was never sent.  In the future, I will only donate to the university directly, never thru any kind of outside organization. I got a call from this number: (325) 676-2601. My kids graduated from ACU and they are fundraising from families of alumni.

I have had several calls from this number on my caller ID.  I just tried to return the call and it sounds like a personal voicemail box, with the following message "Hi, you've reached Otis Moore at Russell & Cody, a leading provider of fundraising services.  Please leave me your name and number and I'll be sure to get back to you."

I just got a call from this number and didn't answer it.  I called back and got the same voice mail about Otis

I have NO connection whatsoever to ACU, and I get called everyday by this number. They must be crooks. Who donates money to a college via credit card???

These calls trace back to ACU trying to keep up with alumni and solicit contributions.  If you are getting a call, you probably have some connection with the University.

It was on July 13, 2009.  the caller ID was Calling Center (very original - ha).  I don't answer any calls that I don't recognize, and that seems to be most calls these days.  DO NOT CALL registry really works, huh?
