We have had repeated calls from this and other related numbers. All about the same scenario, but now the messages left on our church answering machine have turned threatening. We did a charge back through our bank and they are very upset, but now the bank is doing the investigation.

these scam artists got our church secretary to speak on the recording, I was the  new treasurer and when the "COLLECTION AGENCY" said they would drop the legal fees and interest if i could pazy electronically that day. I did this because they seemed to have the proof (RECORDING) that we did owe this bill. Now we are out 599.99. our little church can barely stand this setback. we had had many discussions about these collection calls and did  not want this on our credit and felt if we owed it it should be paid.

got call from this number. was told it was the last day to cancel our yellow page add. couldn't understand what the first person i talked to was saying about an invoice. i asked to speak to her supervisor but couldn't fully understand him either. i finally hung up and did a reverse search on this number. brooks fiber properties of Texas came up. i know how much time our little company has spent trying to track down this scammer. we will be filling a complaint with the BBB and the FTC .  By the way in the time it took to type this we received two calls from out of state to solicit us for new credit card service

Our company received a call from these scum-bag scammers this morning.  A woman with an Indian accent called to say that they were notified that someone in our company requested to cancel our online yellow pages ad.  Considering our company is all of four people and I am the only one who handles such things, I knew immediately it was b.s.  I told her, "Considering we don't do business with you, that's a lie," and hung up.  Then I researched it and found out that this is the newest so-called yellow-pages scam in which they claim you requested a cancellation but then have to bill you for previous years of ads - which you never requested.  DO NOT FALL FOR THIS SCAM AND DO NOT USE THE WORD "YES" OR ANY OTHER WORD THAT CAN BE RECORDED AND THEN INSERTED LATER TO MAKE IT SEEM LIKE YOU AGREED WITH SOMETHING.  Sleeze-bag, scum-sucking bottom feeders!

Our company received a call from this number this morning at 1055 hrs.  A woman with an Indian accent said that their company had been notified that we wished to cancel our online yellow pages ad.  I immediately told her, "Considering we don't do business with you, that's a lie," and hung up.  And then I come here and see the kind of scam these sleeze-bags are running.  I wonder how many gullible or overworked business people fall for this crap.

Same thing just happened to me...When I wouldn't give our current address and asked him to provide the cancellation number he said "Why, are you in a hurry?" When I said I wasn't giving him any further information he said, very rudely, "Fine, the owner's contract will be renewed for another 12 months" and hung up on me.

Yes, we have the same storey. We told him we were not intersted but thank you for the call and hung up. He called back and said " are you hard of hearing....maybe you will listen when you get the $1,200. bill', we said we dont owe your company a penny, then hung up again. He called back a 3rd time and was cussing and telling us about the bill and we told him where he could stick the bill and he said FU@K You and hung up!!!! Who are these idiots and what gives them the right to act this way!!! He had a very heavy accent and most of his rant wasnt understood.....but there were some word heard loud and clear:(

I received a call from this number at our company's local sales office. Yes, gentleman on line sounded like he was from India. He told me his name was Ronnie David and was the Sr Mgr of Cancellations for the Public Yellow Pages. He told me that our corporate office had cancelled our service through the internet and he gave me his employee ID #5040. Repeated it again and said he was going to give me a cancellation # for me to pass along to my corporate office. Then he asked me for my name. I told him I wouldn't give it to him and he needed to call our corporate office in Houston. He asked for my name again. I said I didn't want to give him my name because I thought the call was a scam and he'd use my name to show that I had ordered service from them. He got rude and said that my father and my grandfather were scams just like me. I told him thank you for the rude comment about my family and then he abruptly hung up.

Ditto--- Same as all above. Broken english caller, transferred to cancellation dept., told to answer yes or no. When he got the part where he tried slipping the invoice balance, I told him that I don't pay for something that I(the only person in my business) did't authorize. He replied that it would be turned over to thier legal dept. I have no document signed for any agreement.  Called phone company customer service, they told where the call was from and the company the # was assigned to.

I got a phone call a few weeks earlier asking if I wanted to renew my Yellow Pages ad.  The address they gave me for our business was from 10yrs. ago.  I said no then.

Today some man called and spoke to my husband.  He had a heavy accent and first tried to tell my husband we owed nothing for cancelling but that we owed $599 for a listing that we supposedly had since 2010. My husband kept asking questions because the man would talk in circles. My husband  could not understand him and gave the phone to me.  I kept asking for information and he hung up on me.  Then a Ronnie David at station 5040 called.  He was insistent that I take down his name and station and he would give me a cancellation #.  I kept asking how did we subscribe to this and all he would say was "we have legal documents that we will send you after you take down the cancellation #".  He finally got tired of my questions and hung up on me.

Same as above.  Agree to receive an invoice for $599 and then we would receive a cancellation number for the one year free and one year we owe.  Went thru 5 phone calls with them.  I think we are done as we refused to receive the invoice.  DO ACCEPT the invoice!

This guy from phone # 325-718-4640 is a real scumbag....Same lines and MO as everyone here has already described....$599 to cancel  the 2 year contract or else. Well, I have to say I was really pissed off when my secretary came to me and said there's a guy on the phone saying we owed Yellow Pages on Line $599. Yea right...I picked up the phone and after a few choice words I hung up on him. He called back right away wanting to know if we had gotten a "cancellation number". We told him I/we never agreed to anything and to send us the signed contract. The Indian sounding guy said he would mail it. We'll see. I do not expect anything since I never signed  a contract with anyone from " Yellow Pages on Line ". REAL SCAM....BEWARE !!!! After reading everyone else's posts if that number should call again I would not answer the phone. Of course now those of you who are reading these posts and are aware of this SCAM want to have some fun and turn the tables on  him/them - I'm sure you can be creative. I will also be reporting this to the FCC, BBB and any other agency that handles these idiots.

I have received calls from 325-718-4640, 4 times this month, 2 were today. 3 of those times no one answered and I heard nothing in the background, but today on one call, I heard a conversation in the background, however I was unable to understand anything. Thanks to all of you for commenting, it helped me decide to ignore their calls from now on.

same thing here, calling my business all day long, as soon as I here his accent I tell him NOT INTERESTED, but does this stop him no.

Got a call today.  Same as others from Yellow Pages to cancel.  I told him that if they were canceling something that they did not need to get anything from me just mail me the cancellation and I hung up.  Called back several time without me answering.  Then the 4th time he called I picked up and he asked for the owner which is not here.  He asked if I was the person who answered the phone and i said yes.  He asked why I hung up   (very rudely) I said he was rude and hung up again.  He called back one more time and I let the machine answer.  No message left.  Will write down the number and not answer it again.

I keep getting calls from 325-718-4640...I want it to stop....when I answer the phone they hang up on me.......They also said that I owe them money for yellow pages...which is untrue..I do not do any business at all with this number.....

How can I block this scammer like you did...They are sooooo annoying

annoying calls every day and there is no one on the other end.Very disruptive during meals I have to get up and go to the phone...

they call our office and send us faxes wanting us to pay for a yellow page ad our office never had. They will ask you questions and record parts of the conversation and try to play it back to you to prove you agreed with stuff.

I keep getting a call from this number and after I answer, it just hangs up.  Three times today so far...

Have received multiple calls with no messages left.  Answered call today and I could hear background voices on the other end but no one spoke.

Same thing here! He sounded as if he had an Eastern India accent. I didn't even listen to his script, I  told him that I was sick of this number calling my office (3 calls in one day and no one there when I picked up.. obviously a computer boiler room) and to take me off there calling list and he yelled that I owe them $600 so I hung up.

I would truly appreciate your reporting them......they've been harrassing our company for 2 days. I told them just to give me a cancellation # but that I was not going to authorize anything while on a recorded line. Asked them for a call back number and then he threatened me. Ive hung up on them 7 times today and they continue to call.  

HELP!
