Got this call today, told them I work for an attorney & we do collections, suddenly the one bill was going to 'disappear', called them back after talking to Capital One & they hung up on me!!!!  Scammers!

I have had calls now going on 3 yrs. I contacted the FBI and Attorney General Office. I was told to record the calls and I did and when the calls came in I had put the words scram on every call I got. I then cld the FBI back and reported the calls and they assured me they are TRYING TO CATCH THESE SCRAMERS!!! I stopped wasting my time when they cld me. I also got the same recording all you have received. I have also got the same call from this # 202-417-2021 all of you as well. I am checking into a legal way to stop these scramers for good. I have favor at the Virginia College, where I can asked for their help on any legal issues I have. I like my last term in Paralegal to finish my Associate . I want to get all these guys!!! They have cld my mother who is 75 years of age and she gives it to them!!! I gave her the scoop and they call her still. I want these people to pay for how they have scared people. I take notes when they call me and I tell them I am recording them. I hope this will help. I get mail from all kinds of companies that stated I have won Huge sums of money, along with calls of the same. Lets STOP THESE CALLS!!! & LETS STOP THE LETTERS !!!

A woman named Cynthia Andrews spoke with me from tat number today.  I gave my information because I was really scared.  What did you do?

Received a call to cell (number was "blocked") but left this number as call back #. Same scenario as l above, same message, same threats, all BS, and all illegal.  If they had half a brain cell they would know wage garnishments aren't even possible in the state I reside in ( and many others). If calling your cell, download the free app "Mr. Number" to your smart phone. You can direct the app to either hang up or send these types of calls to your voicemail (also blocks unwanted texts).  Works on various types of smart phone operating systems...Apple, Android, etc.  If they reach you at work, Do not admit to anything but simply state immediately they are being recorded and it is illegal to contact you at work after being told to cease and desist (this method at times requires a rather loud voice because they will make every attempt to talk over you).  Trouble is, these scumbags typically close their doors 1 step ahead of the law, then pop them back open under new name and start all over again so the lawsuit route generally is a wasted effort. Try the app, works like a charm...they can dial themselves stupid, but never get through!

Caller left message saying ive been named in case for such in such and a restraining order was involved and they are gonna contact my employer to garnish my wages if I dont call within 4 hours .  

I have started calling them back. When I get the recording and it asks if I want to leave a call-back number I enter theirs. Then it tells me " thank you, your number has been forwarded to the owners pager". I know it's stupid, but the thought of them getting pages with their own number just kind of pleases me.

stop to badgering people we already have stress from this economy, and bad management of this country.

I received a message from this number stating the same thing everyone else has described.  It wasn't even for e but for a prior person who may have owned the number I have at 1 time. You cannot call back or leave a message.  I forwarded the vm to my boyfriend who IS a lawyer and he informed me it is a scam.  Can they somehow hack into your phone or information if you call them back?

I agree;I am calling police;They said I took a payday loan out or some1 did in my name;and they sent me numerous attemptsto appear in court;I have never takin a payday loan out and am furious how they had my last 4 #'s of my social;callin the better business bureau and police;Take care;Lg2sra

Same story as everyone else. Message to call back within 4 hours but they don't even have the right name. Whoever they got my number from gave them the wrong name to go with the number.

I just got the same call. Scared me half to death. Then I googled it and found out after trying to call them and getting a voice mall box is full message. I couldn't call them during the 4 hrs as I was working. Since I seen this I am going to try not to worry. about it.

I just tried to call the # back.  I had to do it.  The voice mail was full.  Probably a good thing.  They would have gotten an ear full from a sassy red head that hasn't given anyone a reason to take any legal action.  Not a late payment, a bad check, a ticket...nothing.  So they need to lose the number,

They called me and left a message and they used my maiden name :P I have been married for 7yrs.... Stupid people and their threating phone calls.  

Just got the same call!  That's what I was wondering.  They used my name.  Said they would contact my employer.  I don't work and I haven't in years.  I have had my phone for over 6 years with the same number.  The phone is in my fiancees name and we have lived together over 6 years.  Soooo....what are they gonna do???

Just got this message. Threatening that if I don't CALL within 4 hours they will garnish wages and also that I may have to appear in court. Also threatening to put out a restraining order against me. Initially I was nervous but then I checked this site... everyone says the same thing. I think its a scam.

Received a phone call about a 'legal matter' that appears to be a scam- includes a restraining order and wages affected.  Received this phone call on my land line and my cell phone.

Nothing is going to pan out because this IS a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.

Left a threatening and harassing voice mail...just shut this number down.  If I could I would take action against them...JERKS

I got the message about a restraining order.  I knew it was a scam because I am not that kind of person who would warrant a restraining order, but it stressed out my uncle and that was bad.

They called and said that I had until 30, office closing to agree to pay or they will take me to court and I can pay fines for the loan and fraud. This is frightening. I asked for information to be sent to me about this and she said that it will be sent to my email, she never asked for it. They can settle for 500.00 or go to court. I know that it is a scam but I am a single parent and very upset over this.

They call me to. I am tried of these people. I believe they are scammer..

I was on my way out with my dogs when my phone began to ring.  No number on caller ID so I just went on outside.
The message they left was something about calling them within 4 hours and something about a restraining order.
I called the number back and it didn't even ring, just went to the message that the VM was full and to leave a call back number.
I came to my computer and entered the first 6 numbers and the search engine finished the number for me and I found your messages.

This number called me with the whole "call us back in four hours" and such. It kinda of scared the s*** out of me. "Garnish my wages"... I only work part-time cause of school. I'm really hoping this is total b***s***. I glad I found other people with the same problem.

I got this same message and I was scared to death. Said I had 4 hours to call back and a restraining order was going to be put on me and they were going to call my employer. I don't do kind to threats. And I don't answer block calls. I'm glad I'm not the onl\y one getting theses calls. I feel a whole lot better now.

Got a vm on 11/12 stating same and to call 330-205-7460.....then got another call 11/14 stating same with a different number of 202-417-2021.
