Got a call from this number this morning, it appeared in my missed call list on my cell phone. I called the number back the first time it was busy, the second time I got a response. He said he wasn't trying to sell me anything, that it is a non-profit organization wanting to send 2 free family DVD's to me and have me rate them. Looked them up and they’re for real.

Called and said it was Kids 1st and wanted to send 2 free movies. What they’re doing sounded interesting but wanted to know how they got my number and they said they’re just calling randomly. Told them to hold so I could look them up and they are legit. I got 2 movies for free and just had to give my input on them.

The guy wouldn't stop talking! I asked him to stop talking and remove me from the list because he called my CELL PHONE! I asked him multiple times to stop talking and remove me from the list but he just continued on. I WANT TO BE REMOVED FROM THE LIST! He finally said I understand and hung up. What a JERK! I would never do business or help any sort of company that trains their employees to TALK and not LISTEN.

I got the call.  Seemed interesting.  They didn't ask for any info that wasn't in the phone book. They offered me 2 free DVD's.  I accepted and got them a few days later. Once again, they didn't get any info from me other than that in the phone book.

John from Kids First just called and said they were trying to design a better system for rating DVD's and wants to send me two free DVD's. He was very nice and said the only catch was that they wanted to call me back in two weeks after I get the movies for my grandkids to get some feed back.

Called my cell phone this morning. When asked how they got my number they said the were callin all numbers in this area. After doing some research, it appears they are a non-profit organization trying to clean up entertainment or something.  I agreed to the films, so we'll see!

HOW did this org get my unlisted, unused blackberry cell#?  I am hard of hearing/deaf, I don't use voice services, and have never given out the number to anyone... this is odd! I thought it was a robocall cuz I could have sworn I heard something about "Ayers" and "palling around", not to mention the voice didn't respond to my questions or anything, so I just hung up on them.  :)

I am so glad they sent  the movies for me to review. My favorite was "Walking across Egypt" I have to say I was a little skeptical at first, but now I am glad I took the two free films to review…I hope they keep up the good work!

I looked up Kids First's website and there was nothing about a branch in Akron Ohio.  That is where this # originated from (after doing a reverse search).  According to their site, the company is based in California.  So I'm skeptical about the caller's true intentions.  After I told him I wasnt interested (very politely I might add) he quickly got off the line.  Unfortunately at that time I was trying to ask him how he got my cell # and he wouldn't answer the question.  Shady if you ask me.  Many scam artists pose as reputable businesses.  Not saying that this is a scam but my Spidey-Sense tells me it is.  Call it Navy Chief Intution :)  Beware.

Caller would not stop talking. I finelly was able to advise caller this was a security buisness cell non-published number on the DNC list. That didn't get him to stop talking. Not to happy to have a unsolicited call. When it rings it means one of my clients is in trouble, not do I want a free movie. I will be filing a complaint with my State Utilities and Transportation Comission.

I just received a call from this number.  By the sound of it "John" is basically a series of recorded answers by a professional voice actor or something like that.  Someone at the other end picks the best response and it plays back.  I hung up before I got a chance to test it, but try asking "John" a verbal CAPTCHA like "what is 4 times 3."

The website shows a $250 monthly membership fee and that seems a bit exorbitant.

I got a call while I was driving in the first snowstorm of the year. They guy was well-trained as he didn't take a breath before he dove into his spiel. He was from Kids1st. When I shouted I was driving, he graciously hung up. If he calls back I might just oblige him merely for that fact... he didn't persist.

I received an call on my cell phone.  The person who called said his name was John, and wanted to send me movies to review.  When I asked how he got my number, he apologized and hung up on me.  I called him back, and after he talked non-stop for a minute or so, I asked the same question again.  He said that because he was representing a non-profit, they were allowed to call numbers on the DNC list.  He said he would remove me from the Kids First phone list.

I went one step further and called the Coalition for Quality Children’s Media (505.989.8076), who are the ones that are in charge of Kids First.  I spoke with someone who told me the same thing as John, and offered to remove my number from their lists, so I asked her to do so.

I'm interested to see if they call back...

I answered the phone and he asked how I was doing.  I told him not to bad...then he said..."thats not good."  Then he told me what he was doing, and I told him he needed to talk to my husband cuz he deals with that stuff.  Then he said thats fine, and I told him he was right next to me, then he said "we will call back at another time."  That was so confusing.  I dont care if people have gotten stuff from them...Just wait for the bill.  He was fishy sounding.  Why couldnt he have talked to my husband...WHO WAS RIGHT HERE???

I guess we are all entitled to our own opinions though.  I hope none of you get scammed or anything.  GOD bless!

Hi, I received the same call from (330) 752-6187, on my cellular telephone.  People have been incorrectly stating this company (Kids First) is non-profit.  I have done the research to discover (through Ohio Secretary of State) that this company (owned by Level 3 Communications LLC) is in fact a For-Profit company.  Don't be fooled (or lied to), do the research.  Best to all.

This is a personal information collection company.  The company collects and verifies your personal information with your help, when you confirm your contact information (ie.: name, address, etc.) and all is associated to the phone number you were contacted through.  They send you a product to "preview" to validate the information collected (concerning who and where you are) and distract from their underlying intent.  The product is like your payment for volunteering your personal information, which in turn is now the property of the company.  The number (330) 752-6187 is provided by AT&T and contracted from Akron, Ohio.  In the information age positive identity is worth money, keep your identity safe.

I got a call from them on my cell phone Saturday, supposedly they were calling numbers at random.  Right after that, my wife got a call on her cell phone.  There is no way they are randomly dialing- they have bought a list from someone.  Our cell phones are on the DNC list and while they are a non-profit, I'm against getting calls on my cell.  I'm going after them.  Pretty good prerecorded message.

This was the number Kids First originally called me on my cellphone from, to get me to accept movies for my kids to evaluate.  I requested they not call my cellphone number again but they did it anyway, this time from 575-382-6813.
