Hi, I would suggest calling the Jacksonville Florida police department and letting them know these frauds are working out of their city. If you read my post above, the address of these losers is posted there. I would love it if everyone who gets a call from them and reads these posts calls the Jax Florida police and then maybe something could be done about them. They've been robbing and harassing people for far too long, it has to stop. Whatever you do, do not even respond to their messages. It only fuels the fire and it will cause them to keep calling; thinking they have a fish on the hook.
Everybody-- Once again, IT IS NOT A BAD CHECK IF YOU DEFAULT ON A LOAN OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING PAYDAY LOANS! They are trying to prey on people who don't know this. Let them know (if you do talk to them) that YOU KNOW IT IS NOT A BAD CHECK. Let them know you know they are frauds and ask them if they've heard of the Fair Debt Collection Practice Act. They will probably tell you that it doesn't apply to them because they are not debt collectors but they are! If you had a bad check out there, the police are the ones who handle it, not a Debt Collector. DUH! Whatever they tell you, it is BULL SH**. They are saying anything and everything to try to scare you into giving them your money. Money that you probably don't even owe! They stole or bought your info illegally. Any money you give them is probably feeding their crack addictions. HAHAHAHA!

They just called and left a message to my husband saying he was an affiliate of someone writting bad checks and he better contact them immediately.  I am soooo glad I looked up this phone number and read all this.  Thank You!!! I was nervous and trying to call them back.  Do I need to call my local police and report them?

Thank you everyone who has read my post! The last time I had to deal with them it seemed that everything I posted was going on deaf ears. Another suggestion I have is to look up the "company" name "Weinberg Cochran Coulson and Irwin" on your state's licensing board site and see if they even have a license to collect in your state. Yesterday, I looked them up on the Florida site and nothing comes up. In other words, they are "collecting" illegally. Please call the Florida State Attorney General's office and tell them you want to file a complaint against them. The more complaints they have on these vermin, the more likely they will take action. Believe me, it worked with Bass and Associates. By the way, Phillip Henson is associated with these dirtbags (WCCI) and he was an employee of Bass etc and one of the findings in the court case against Bass stated that no one associated with Bass was EVER to work in collections again. I also have definitive proof linking old Phil to WCCI and Bass. I will fly down to the hearings and trial in Florida on my own dime to watch these a-holes get prosecuted. They have the audacity to say that we are the criminals. And I'm quite sure their credit scores are atrocious. HAHAHAHA! Stay tuned, I will post more as it comes to me. Thank you!

Someone named Michael Cohen keeps calling and threatening me to pay money for a debt from 4 years ago. Is this legal? I don't think so. Said it's fraud if I don't pay it. He wouldn't do any banking and wanted me to send money via MONEYGRAM. That is a bit fishy to me. I called my attorney and I am going to contact the police. All of the information they had on me was very old, which also seemed a bit fishy. Something is not right and I am doing something about it. As it looks like I am not the only one he's called. I am so glad I researched this!!!!!!!!! PLEASE STOP THESE PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!! Claim to be debt collectors and it sounds like a scam!!!!!!!!

Have been getting calls from Michael Colehand telling me he is sending me to federal prison if I dont go to WalMart and send him money for a debt that I know is paid. When I ask him for a printout of "what I owed" and all fees, he became very upset and told me the only thing I would see is prison. He gave me a receiveing code and said to send it to WCCI. I think after reading everything on this site, I will tell Mr. Colehand to "Govern yourself accordingly". (He told me this too, what a jerk.)

Thank you for your research and information. I am now seeing that I need to contact local authority to help stop them. They called me with a name Michael Cohen and they said I have debt and they want to pin me with fraud. They put a so called prosecutor on the phone and said they needed money by the end of the day. I spoke with my lawyer and we are investigating this matter. I have never had bill collectors call me before, so I was very new to "not answering" questions. After talking to a few friends and getting legal advice, I now understand that this is a scam. Thank you so much for posting this, as I see it was posted just two days ago which makes this even greater for me. I can't wait to spread the word about these people. I am taking everything you posted to the police and I am going to do what I can to help you take then down.

If you look at their listing at www.lookupbook.com, Weinberg etal claim to be in the "medical alarm" business. This in itself shows you how shady these jerks really are. It took a lot of effort to find this info, so PLEASE USE IT!  I now even have the owner's personal phone number and address so my lawyer can have them served properly. They hire scumbags to do their dirty work. Ex-cons, crackheads etc. These people don't know the law so they just do whatever is necessary to get this fake "debt" paid. They use illegal tactics to get people to pay for debts that don't exist. They were actually licensed to do collections but their license expired in December 2010. That guy called my Mother-In-Law looking for me.  She just got out of hospital. I called him back and he didn't mention name of company when he answered.  I asked what he wanted and he pulled the check fraud thing on me also.  I hung up and he called me back 4 times because I hung up on him.  He finally quit when I told him I called the police. which I didn't. I am filing report with State Atty. Generals office.  He told me he worked for some law firm which I know is a lie.

Received a threatening message from a Michael Cohen on 6/16/2011.  I Called him back on 6/16/2011and he very rude and threatening, hung up on me several times.  Looking for address for this phone number, calling phone company, police and my lawyer.  This man and company he works for needs to be reported.

I received a voice mail message on my home number from a Michael Cohen also.  He stated he was with the fraud and work check division.  Never mentioned a specific company.  This person was looking for my ex-husbands brother.  He referenced a case number and informed me I had to call back IMMEDIATELY!!!  Sure thing bucko....

I just got a voicemail from michael Cohen from that number, when i call him and told him to lose my phone number he promised he will have someone behind my door in 15 minutes.

The Local Police were called to listen in, the caller from his number hung up.  Please simply hang up in their face or get in touch with you local Sheriff, and your area's worthless check unit.
These creeps are some collection agency, that is trying to scare people.  They probably set up this site, but rest assured this info is going up on facebook @ some point soon.  This is a shame that they call and try to talk to people like they do.

A call was made from this number to me re: my sister seeking a credit card number.  The caller sated his name was Michael Cohen.  I am about to call the Locall Police department right now.

Got a voice mail from these freaks THREATNING that it was a fraud case about cashing unauthorized checks. Real cocky nit wit was YELLING in the phone. It was for someone who used to live here...... i say he can kiss my a** . i wont even relay the message.
