this is a very strange number and I do not wish to receive any more calls from it.

They kept asking for my credit card information.

Got a call today, my caller ID shows the number is in Illinois. Looked like a weird number so I didn't answer it. I called back and it said the phone call could not be completed as dialed. Probably spam!

I get these calls regularly on my mobile and my land line at home.  Very annoying.

I just received a call from this number... It was very odd with all of the zeros, so I decided to Google it. I'm in TX and received the call around 1:30pm. No voicemail left. Not returning call.

Received this call, but no one answered. Looks like all calls from this number are a scam and it needs to be shut down.

i just got a call from this number i answered it and they said very nasty things to me when i asked them to take me off there call list. including that they were going to shoot me with a ak47 in my c**t. i too live in washington state

It's easy to avoid. Just don't ever answer numbers you don't recognize.

Had this call today in WA. I answered it and the line disconnected. Called it back and it said to check the number and try again. I've never made a monster account, or anything like that. Have no idea what the purpose of the call was.

I picked up this call on my cell phone and listened to the recording. Went ahead and followed instructions to reach someone. Credit Card interest reduction is the scam. I very nicely told them I was confused to receive their call,  as I had only one charge card that WAS  PAID OFF EVERY MONTH , and the a** h*** hung up on me!!!! No calls again, but wait and see.

There's a very simple explanation:
One: These guys are spoofing their caller ID

Two: They likely aren't getting their phone numbers from any website, I haven't accessed or modified my monster.com acct in about 7 years, and my phone numbers have changed long since, therefore, their "stealing" my phone number is impossible.

Three: Your phone number isn't sold by anyone, there's a thing called wardialing, where they set up a computer to randomly generate and call phone numbers. They're also cold calling, which is why you also get guys offering to help pay your mortgage (when you rent an apartment), credit card bills (when you don't have credit cards), and so on. All they need is one sucker to give them their credit card number and bam, they profit.

Same thing just happened to me. No one there.

Was connected to Mark Williams (an Indian guy named Mark Williams?  Really?)  Told me the name of the company was "Global Visa Master," located in Atlanta, GA.  Calling on behalf of B of A, Chase, Wells Fargo, etc, to lower my interest rates on my visa and master cards.  I told him I'd be filing a complaint with the district attorney in Atlanta.

Sorry but you are wrong about that. These scam companies operate OUTSIDE of the U.S. and they do not have to obey ANY U.S. laws. You can ask them to put you on a do not call list and that means absolutely nothing to them.

I got a call from 331-000-0001, left a message about  lowering my interest rates not even 18 yet sounds scammy.

Friggin Rachel from "Card Services"...I'm so over these calls. I write the AG'S office and complain all the time to no avail. I get 3 to 4 calls a day, always from new different numbers. ARGH

got a call from them today myself . hit the " reject " button on my phone and no message left . not like those of you who have accounts with monster.com , i have never opened an account with monster.com .

I just received a call on my cell from that same number. Didn't pickup and they didn't leave a message. I have been getting strange numbers on my cell during the past 3 months and none would leave a message. Some were so annoying. They would call several times within seconds. Therefore, I decided not to answer any strange number. If they leave a message I'll check it out if it was legitimate. Otherwise, I would add the number to Blocked Numbers list and they can, then, call as many as they like without getting bothered!
