This spanish speaking guy called my mom.
He said he was a Mexican lawer representing with my female cousin from Europe who was stuck in Mexico.
He then passes the phone to the female cousin and tried to make my mom believe she was my cousin.  The funny thing is that they had a couple of names right.  
They insisted that my mom give them her cell phone number...and so on.  They wanted her to send the 3000$ via moneygram.  They gave my mom several phone numbers but none worked except for 331-372-0641.

Well, i got the infamous call this morning.  They guy said "good morning primo" which is the equivalent of good morning cousing.  I sometimes joke with my real cousins in the Mexico and in the US and we fake voices and play pranks to each other.  This guy had a really hard accent.  Very distinct from any of the accents in Mexico.  One of my cousins was recently in Cuba and i thought he was playing a joke.  I played the game with him for a while but noticed his accent didn't change.  They guy got mad  because i played the game of 'I cannot hear you, are you there?' That's one i started to get suspicious.  I then googled the 3313720641 which apparently is a number in the state of Oaxaca in Mexico.  Obviously i don't have relatives there.

Be aware of these mother truckers.

este joven llamo el día de hoy pretendiendo ser un familiar cercano que vive fuera de mi país y me insistía para que le dijera nombre de un familiar. como yo seguí diciendo que no lo conocía y no dije ningún nombre corto. tengan cuidado ya han pasado varias veces y tratan de extorsionar a la gente.

Central american accent calling me in canada.

Total scam. Asking me to guess which of my cousins was calling. Beware.

i received a call and tell me is my cousin from mexico and he come and ask me if i can pass to the airport for him, but i ask for the second last name and he didnt know. so obviously he didnt know. he ask for personal phone numbers.

The same guys called us and we are in Canada. He even said he was stranded in Mexico and a lawer wanted to talk to my husband they wanted $2700 to release him

This guy called me with saying he was a Cousin that is living in USA ....He had a Mexican accent and I don't...so I replied in a very serious tone ..I dont know who you are...he hung up ...I googled the phone# and I got this site..so...beware...of scammers.... I am receiving 2 or 3 calls per day...

Just as the others here, said he was a cousin living in the USA. Bla bla bla. Just be warnes its a scam.

this guy called me with name Cousin Carlitos ....he had a central american accent and i dont...so i replied in a serious tone ..i dont know who you are...so i commented this to my wife then she told me there's a scam going on out there ...i googled the phone# and i got this site..so...beware...of scammers..

THIS GUY CALLRD TODAY CALLING ME "UNCLE" AND THAT HE WAS ONE OF MY RELATIVES LIVING OUTSIDE OF CALIFORNIA, HE KEPT ASKING ME IF I REMEMBERED HIM, WHEN I KEPT SAYING NO I DON'T REMEMBER HE THREW OU THE NAME "JUAN" HE WAS JUST FISHING OUT FOR ME TO SAY A NAME.. LOOK OUT PEOPLE THESE PEOPLE A CON ARTIST OUT TO GET MONEY FROM YOU THEY DO THAT ALOT IN MEXICO, THEY CALL AND SAY THEY GOT ONE OF YOUR RELATIVES AND THEY ASK FOR RANSOM MOST OF THE TIME PEOPLE FREAK OUT AND PAY WITHOUT TRYING TO CALL THEIR RELATIVE FIRST TO SEE IF ITS TRUE, MOST OF THE TIME ITS FALSE.

This guy call twice today, saying he is my relative, and isn't, I hang up on him.

A person from this number called wanting to speak with my mom, which he referred by first name.  He stated he was her nephew from Mexico and wanted to speak with her; yet we have no family in Mexico.  When my dad picked up the phone and asked who this was, he hung up.  He has called here three times in the past three months.

There was a phone call, and they tried to convince that they are related to you by family. .which it isn't true.
They just want to take money from you.

This guy call me today saying he was my wife's nephew asking who he was talking, with,,,but when i ask for his name he hang up.
