Same as all others. my husband answered the phone and the guy said he was an uncle my husband asked " who am I speaking with? he stated "you don't recognize my voice? my husband responded "who am I speaking with? and he hung up the phone.  None of his family members  call the house phone the only reason we have a house phone is for internet.

Same pattern as stated above when confronted him he cussed me out in Spanish then hanged up

I received the phone call from the guy and he knew my name.  But he would not tell me who he was.  He was a Mexican National, that much I know, I heard the accent as I do speak Spanish myself.  I knew he was no family memebr, because I do not have family in Mexico, but he hung up when I asked him to identify himself. He call from (331) 809-3862

Got a call from this number too. Follows exact pattern. Targeting Latinos in LA.

A guy called ,my sister picked up .he said hi cousin guess who I am my sister said Jose he said yes. He said he wanted to surprise his mom so that if my dad could pick him up. Later on he called saying he had gotten into an accident and needed $400 dollars. My sister thought that was wired. Later on we found out this guy had called  2 other cousins. He is fake he just wants money !

This is a scam.. similar to the grandparent scam.

This latin guy called my mother. He asked her to guess who it was and she replied with one of my cousins name. and the guy said yes that he was going to visit her. he later calls and said there has been some complications. that he had gotten in a car crash and that he didn't have insurance and tat he had a heck for $1,500 that he couldn't cash and asked for $400. he insisted on speaking to my mom which she wasn't home at that time. he called 4 times in a matter of 30 minutes. beware its a scam. its scary to think that if we were gullible and went out to meet this supposed "cousin" what would have happened. we called the number back and the line was disconnected?

this dude called me once and verified with my nephew. it was a lie.  two weeks later he called and he pretended to be a family member and when I said tell me who you are cause i don't remember you visiting as he stated visiting and being a nephew he hung up.  Beware he is a fraud because the call back number is somehow not in service, this a***ole is truly a fraud and If i can meet him i would f****n kick his a** to the point he could not make a call again

This creep called my mom saying he was a family member and that he was going to come visit he called again nd said his car broke down in lancaster nd he couldnt cash his check that if we could give him some money to help him out!

This just happened to my parents yesterday. But he didn't get money, my mom called Mexico and found that the person he said he was, was still in Mexico and didn't need money. But I would like report this to the police and would like to know how you went about it. Thanks !!!!!This needs to stop!!!!!!

This creepy dude called  a relative in California and had my info and all of my family info. He said that he was in MX and that he broke down and needed $1,000.00 to have his car fixed. My aunt sent $500 unfortunately to some GUILLERMINA RUIZ OLIVA in Guadalajara . We filed a fraud and police report!!!!

SCAM!!! This creep called my elderly parents and pretended to be a family member, we are Mexican. Apparently he is targeting Latin people. He told my parents that he needed money because his car broke down on I-5. He wanted $400 and told them that he had a check for $1800. When my dad asked how he was related and who his immediate family was, he couldn't answer so my dad hung up on him. Beware of this phone # and con artist!!!
