THIS IS A SCAM. This is a version of the advance-fee-for-something scam where something is a grant, loan, lottery winnings, interest rate reduction, tax reduction, gift card, refund, doggie, cruise, vacation, free gas, etc., and the advance-fee is for tax, shipping, registration, insurance, secure handling, processing, etc. They may send you a fake check, may want your credit/debit card or bank account number,  or tell you to wire cash via Western Union, Moneygram, etc. They can put recurrent difficult-to-cancel monthly charges or a 1-time charge on your card or bank account, and sell account info to other criminals and you'll have to replace accounts altogether. Wired-cash is irretrievable - once it's picked up at the other end, it's untraceable and gone. If they want you to call them up for instructions, they may tell you not to discuss the wire with Western Union desk clerks but the real reason is WU clerks are familiar with these scams and will warn you not to wire the money. Report to US Postal Service Inspectors https://postalinspectors.uspis.gov/forms/MailFraudComplaint.aspx , the Federal Communications Commission http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm , the Federal Trade Commission https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/ and your state AG, as appropriate.

Got a call from # 333-900-7334 ( In spanish) asking me how I was doing...and to guess who he was...managed to get several names out of me then claimed he was a the cuz from Mexico that was passing through. He and the family were in Juarez and were ready to cross. He would call me when they were in El Paso. We cleaned the house prepared some food and I even took an unscheduled shower, I had already taken one last week. Called me about an hour later and said he had been in an accident. He asked me if I could help him out before those guys could beat him up. I asked him about his brothers health ..." He is great, and says hi" I knew that brother had died two weeks ago. Stupid pumpkin!! I hung up on him. SHOWERED FOR NOTHING!

It's not a valid number.  There is this machine telemarketers use to type any number they want to show up on your caller ID to trow you off and answer the phone. I guess someone outside credit card co and thelemarketers got a hold of it and are making this calls. I wouldn't be surprise that they are jus phishing and trying new ways to clean us up out of our money/ belognings. Hang up or give wrong info. Just be careful, They are very convincing.

Listen it is a scam, they promise me the same!  They told me that they want my credit card information so they can ship the grant package or whatever.  If they get that credit card number they will clean you out!

In the past I've asked them to remove me from their calling list and they said no which is f***!

I think 333 is a Mexico calling code but I could be wrong.

Telemarketer
This number has called me non stop for about two weeks now.. I finally asnwered today, and they informed me that I had set it up so that they would call me back tonight so they could set me up with a grant that Im qualified for? wth? They also wanted my credit card number.. like hell! Has to be a scam.. its a computer thats calling automatically.. thats why its such an odd number! I think that if they call me again if i tell them to take me off their calling list they have to do that! And hopefully the calls will stop.. we will see!

Prank Call
Yeah I'm getting calls from this place to. Today it was once and I didn't answer it but they called two times yesterday and I picked up one time.  They claim to be a grant service and wanting my credit card information so they can ship grant info to my door!

What a joke but this is not funny. These calls started back in October 2010 man when the guy on the other end promised me the world.  This is another number 333-333-333 they use and they've been calling me as a restricted number so that's 3!

I'm not sure but this area code 333 could be Mexico.  I'm ready to just change my number because I've had it with this crap.  They keep calling and calling...
