Just got a call from 333-839-8122 @ 11:41pm... This person was acting like she was related to me and she knew my name.. A relative from Mexico just like I'm reading on the other posts .. She was trying to get me to figure out her name and telling me that she was coming down to visit... My number is unlisted so I was very confessed on how she got my number .. After all the bs back and fourth and her trying to get my others number I just hung up... Beware there still calling and scamming people ...

recently my mom got a call and lady said she was flying onto sacramento and was her cousin and would contact her again to go pick her up and she was going to bring her lots of gifts. Mind you my mom is 83yrs old.

Some lady called my mom to tell her that she was her oldest niece, and that she would be arriving first to some city in Mexico and then she would be landing in LA , she once again called my mom to tell her she had been stopped because she had 2 checks with her and this long story, she wanted my mom to send her 1,400 dollars , we realized it was a scam.

These calls are kind of related to the grandparent scams that have been going on! They call, and of course the call back is always needing $$$

This just happened to us . Same scam ,same name Catalina lomeli as the lawyer for passengers. The lady called us yesterday at home pretending to be my cousin saying she wanted to come visit for 2 weeks. We fell for that part but today she called from Mexicali telling us she was at the airport and would take the next flight to John Wayne airport . A few hours later she called telling us she was detained because she had to pay some kind of interest in order for her to come. She told us to send her 2,000 dollars ASAP , but we did not fall for it . When she said she needed money we called my cousins parents and right there we knew it was a scam ,my cousin had answered the phone ! She had been home all day . We told my uncle what had happened and he was shocked !
After we tried calling the number to see if we could get a name and address of to where to send the money but they didn't answer . They knew we didn't fall for it so they didn't answer us .

I recieved a call from this phone number and I was robbed because the lady pretended she was my cousin and said she flew over hear and that she was stranded in the airport of Arizona and asked us for money because she was stopped in the airport where they check your luggage. She told us to give her some money so that they could let her go. Apparently she wasn't alone another lady was there and pretended to be a lawyer from the airport to help the passengers. She told us they wouldn't let her take her stuff and that they took her checks for some stupid reason. So they gave us a location to send the money. Since we were so worried about her, we did not think what would happen next, we sent 2  thousand dollars to Mexico, when finally my mom accedently pressed the Facebook app and noticed that my cousin was online and we asked her where she was. She said she was home chilin. These are the names they gave us Catalina lomeli which was the lawer that was with her

My father just got a call from this number. It was a woman claiming to be his niece from Mexico but when he asked for a name, she just said 'guess, I've given  you all these clues, how could you not remember me,' and rubbish like that. When she realized my father wasn't gonna say anything, she hung up. SCAM!

anoche mi mama recibio una llamada alas 10.30 de la noche le ddijeron que era una sobrina de mexico le pedieron el celular de mi mama y mi papa que iba a venir a visitarnosy al se dio cuanta que no era su sobrina por que le pregunto como se llama mi mama y entonces ella colgo el numero quedo grabado en el telefono...

Called saying it was my niece requesting money.  Knew my name and my niece's name and my kids name.  Freaked me out!!!!! TOTAL SCAM!!!!!

My mom received a phone call from this number.  The person calling, a female, claimed to be a relative. The person asked my mom if she could remember who she might be.  I believe she wanted my mom to say one of our relatives names to gather information. The person then hung up the phone once she figured my mom wasn't going to say anything.

Total Scam! they also pretended to be a cousin stranded in a guadalajara MX airport, they want it money to be wire. name of the receiver : Adriana Clementina Hernandez Lopez she is a thief. Careful don't send no money. as for where they got my personal imformation, I don't know.

Just happened to my parents...scam!

Got the same type of call as fescribed above- caller spoke spanish & claimed to be my cousin - then hung up after I didn't know who she was.

i got a call from this number it was a woman saying it was my moms cousin so i asked for her name and she just said to guess. i told her a random name and city she said yes its me... i told her sorry i dont have any relatives in california and i hang up.....

this number keept calling my mom and it was weird because she knew my moms name well her last name and she got creeped out the lady told her she was the cuzin  .when we asked her who she was she didn't she hung up! >:|

My father recieved a call from this number from a woman claiming to be his cousin. She told him she was coming to visit the next day and that she would call him when she landed at MexiCali. Totally a scam. She didn't even name my dad by the name his cousins know him by.

My mom got a call from this number.  My supposed cousin is leaving from Mexico city to tijuana and arriving at my city.  We are still pending the next phone call for the actual scam.  Luckily, we already reported the number and we are eager to receive the call which will be traced.

Yes we received the same scenario from this phone number.  They said they were at the airport in Mexico and needed us to send them X AMOUNT of money. I not knowing my cousins voice I called some of my cousins/her brothers we did call Mexico and the girl pretending to be my cousin was not my cousin. She was at home with my aunt. So this number is a scam.

Someone from this number called my mom and pretended to be relative in need and money to be wired to her. It was a scam.
