This guy did the same thing to me and my husband we were expecting our first baby and we needed a place to move right away to expand our home and he was on craigslist  from the state of Florida city Palm Coast of course he claimed to be a woman that was   deaf and couldn't speak so she can only do transactions over the Internet that's why she couldn't call me only through text messages or emails and she said that she had an attorney named Arvell Barnett sir and we were to send the money by Western Union to this person that they would send us the keys in the mail and he wanted $800 for the first month and a deposit of $600 he continued to say that he (she) was happy that we were Christian people and that their last tenat burn them and messed up their home and she was reluctant to let anyone live in her home but she was renting it out because she had moved out of state with her daughter so that her daughter can help her get around.. Anyways thank God I had my husband go to the area and it was indeed for rent but by a realtor and the place was not empty although (she) claimed that it was.. I googled the name to see if there were any of that name and it never came up I told her (him) that I first wanted to speak to his attorney and she said that we must go through her and she will pass it on to her attorney and that's what really did it for us.. That's why we pay attorneys so that they can come to us and not us have to come to them with info.. So I was really hurt because I had thought we had a place for our unborn baby and it hurt that he didn't care that we had put in our 60 day notice and we were about to be homeless with a baby and he didn't care.. He used the phone number 864-660-9185... This was one of the exact email he sent us..." I would advise if you can come up with the refundable security deposit($600) in less than a week to enable my Lawyer to prepare the paperwork(lease contract) and send them to your current mailing address for you to review and fill asap. I will be receiving the 1st month rent(800) on your move-in date based on trust. You are to locate a grocery store that has Western union outlet to send the payment. We will be so glad to meet you and you family when we come to the State to pay you visit and also buy a new home. On 5/27/14, This name, Nancy de Fatima Lainez Cajina at 3039 NW 11th Street, Miami, Florida 33125 got into my online banking and set up themselves on my Bill Pay. They also transferred money from my savings in order to send themselves a check. Thank GOD I checked my account to balance my checkbook and stopped it on the same day of the transfer and bill pay.

I was looking for a house in Killeen and came across one. for 700.00. house address 1802 Sagebush.. something like that. Anyways.. he said his name was Richard Mirrer and they were living in FL. He wanted me to send the deposit MoneyPak. (first flag) he said that if I sent him the money, he would send me the keys. (second flag). I suggested that I send it to him cashiers check. He declined and asked me to send it to his assistant via western union because he was so busy.(third flag). So i finally remembered that there was a sign in the yard at the property. I drove by and called the number. A realty company answered. I asked them a few questions. A few seconds later,a woman got on the phone and said that he has been doing this to a lot of ppl. Angry, I came home and did some research. I looked his number up on MrNumber. (an andriod used to do reverse lookup) his came up with no name. I then researched his name... nothing. 2 in delaware and 1 in new york. Next, his assistants name and the address he asked me to send it to via western union..

Oh yea! the text of the messages were full of misspelled words, I'm not a great speller either but these were not only misspelled but were the wrong word, ie "not want to do anything that will "through" us in to jail.  I have to say that this is the first time I have truly appreciated the english language. With all it's words that are pronounced the same but spelled different, etc.

I have just been saved from this pair by your posts and I want to thank you as well as tell our experience. Ours was a Boxer dog ad on the Seattle/Tacoma Washington Craigslist. My first clue should have been the price of the puppies. There were several breeders only charging $400. I sent emails to them, hoping to get answers. Only 1 response from an alisonjerry595@yahoo.com. She instructed me to correspond direct with a "Paul and Nancy Lainez" in Florida who had two of her puppies. After a couple of emails from "Nancy" I suddenly get an unexpected phone call. A Man named "Paul" with an accent so strong I could bearly understand him (he was supposed to be a Dr. but his patience would have had to have a translator). He said he would send email with transfer of money information to me. I got it! A Western Union information from his wife "Nancy de Fatima Lainez Cajina. Fortunately, I had not kept all of this to myself, between me, my husband and especially our daughter there was enough doubt to do some investigation. Several things seemed to add up and several things didn't. But when we googled her name and found this site which talked about the fraud and further down the page talked of other Dog Frauds we knew to send them packing.

I encountered the same animal scam in Atlanta, GA. This time it was with the Maltese puppies. Send them $350 upfront and they will ship you the puppy. TOTAL SCAM! They used the same email address: mrsnancylcajina@yahoo.com and her "husband" would call me from the Miami # 786-467-8068. I feel stupid to admit that I sent them the $350. They wanted $432 for flight insurance and $295 for a healthy check test. I wouldn't send them any more money after the $350.

I encountered the exact same french bulldog thing, they have 2 they need to rehome , ran across it on next day pets, you email the breeder, carol Brezinski - dakotagram2@ yahoo.com  and she then gives you these people who are customers of hers and has known them for years, email mrsnancycajini@ yahoo .com and they will ship there 2 little frenchie puppies to you , but you have to send them 450 upfront. I emailed the "breeder"and asked her if she had a website or any info about her puppies and received nothing back. I couldn't find anything out about a carol Brezinski and french bulldogs in Charlotte nc. He called me from 786 467 8068. I did not do it.

This guy is scamming people online looking for French Bulldog (Frenchie) breeders and puppies! Used the following email to try and scam me...good thing I absolutely know better. Hope someday they get caught.

The guy went by the name of ERIC MEZA and wanted me to send money to his assistant Nancy De Fatima Lainez Cajina in Miami Florida. I knew things were really fishy and this just topped it off. I also checked online and the house was listed for rent by a realtor Releproperties.com and now it is no longer listed. A friend also checked the physical address and everything looked "right". I am just glad that I did not send any money.

I have recently came across an ad on criagslist that stated they had a condo for rent for $700. This is non an outragous price, but still cheap in Grand Forks. The guy I have been dealing with is Ross Meland and he wanted me to send him the security deposit to Arvell Barnett Sr through western union. I've been checking into it, and it sure is a scam. Ross keeps saying God bless and may the almightly lord be with you and help me with my future. This man new I was a single mother with 2 kids, and still proceeds to give me the address and says he is sending the documents needed for the condo and the lease. I am upset how anyone can do this, and for the fact that it is happening just down the street from me! Please be careful everyone!

Heh..I think I may have finally pushed him too far, and he's not going to deal with me anymore...He was going on about how religious he is and how he was happy that my wife and I are a good christian family because that was a requirement for anyone renting the home.  So I told him that I would not feel right renting the house because my family is pagan/satanist...He then did a 360 saying that he was open to all religions, and would not exclude me...I asked him if we could repaint one of the rooms walls and ceiling to black as we need such a room for some of our satanic rituals...He said that we could redecorate as we see fit....So you'd think after that he was unshakable..my final question for him before I sent the Western Union payment ($1000) was his first name...he has been using an email that is the same name as the actual owner of the home, but the owner is female, so he has been using her name, and then just calling himself Mr.**** using her last name...I'm sure this info is easy to get off the internet, so it's typically not a problem..however, in this situation the owner is a old widowed woman, so her dead husband's name is not on any of the docs, and cannot be determined via google...hopefully he'll get back to me with an interesting name

They are doing the same scam with Arvell Barnett Sr as thier Attorney in Richmond,VA...email account is the homeowners name, same pics and info as the real ad from the property managers website, horrible broken English, over the top religious stuff...As a frequent home renter, I spotted is as a scam from day 1 and have just been playing around with the guy...asking all these questions that he has to come up with outrageous lies for, then getting the real info from the prop manager and calling him out with it..it's been fun..sorry if folks actually fall for this...wish there was some way to get him in legal trouble...but I assume the name is fake, the address he gives is a resort in Marco...would be nice to set up a sting at the western union place..

They are doing the same thing on craigslist in Las Vegas.  Some of the emails sent to me were word for word what was quoted above.  I did not send any money but I did contact Craigslist and The Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) a partnership between the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the National White Collar Crime Center (NW3C),  I don't know if it will do any good but enough complaints and they might act.

Their in rockland county craigslist posting a 2 bedroom townhouse for rent $800 anyone knows that you can't even rent a studio in rockland county for $800 dollars. These people must be out of their minds.They are worst than terrorist.Almost every posting on craigslist turns out to be a scam. I been looking for a rental for about a year and all responses i get are from some fool say they are out of the county some where in Africa on some volunteer mission and now in Alabama.It is very sicken. Someone has to put a stop to this madness.

The Craigslist posting looked too good to be true!! I can't believe I actually believed it. They almost got my husband and I by offering a house for rent in DC for well below than normal rental prices. When they email you back they act all religious to make you comfortable. They did their research though and created a fake email address with the name of the homes real owner. After they told us to send a deposit via western union i knew it wasnt real. I did some research and spoke with the home's real owner who advised me her house was under contract and this was indeed a scam. hello everyone they did the same thing in Columbus Ohio to me... and stupid me they got me I sent them $1,000.00 for rent and deposit. Then they got the money and then asked for more. I started thinking it was spam then and looking up any info that could help me. Then my sister is a accountant and she looked up the phone number and found all the complaints... Its sad cause I even told these people why I really wanted to rent there ranch style home.. because my son just had three brain surgeries and a one floor plan house would be perfect for my family... I FEEL SO STUPID NOW!!!
