This was odd - when they called us at 7:30 am on a Saturday (!) we got this recording that said press 1 for 24-hour security... press 1 for 24-hour security... etc. Last week we got a call with that same message supposedly coming from the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art but from the number 415-357-4000, which IS the museum, which also came up on the caller ID as the museum - we know nobody there or at this number here. Obviously whoever this is can change their ID information. We did find out it's a cell phone though. Cell data - 1 address in MONTGOMERY, AL 36104, Carrier: COMCAST PHONE OF ALABAMA, Phone Type: DOTHAN DTHNALXABMD, Rate Center: DOTHAN.

I just got a call from this number, didn't answer it and they didn't leave a message. We also got a call at 4 in the morning a few weeks ago from the same number.
Is MAX Credit Union pursuing this? I hope they are trying to get to the bottom of it and prosecute whoever it is!

Asking for card number and pin for MAX Credit Union. I am not that crazy to give it to someone in person no need to think I will give it to them over the phone.I just got the phone number.

I was awoken by a call at 4:53am about a week ago from this number. It was a recording claiming to be "Max Federal Credit Union". The recording said, "Your account is being closed due to suspicious account activity. Please enter your pin number". I simply hung up and called the number back ... a recording then said "enter your pin number". Again I hung up and called the real Max Federal Credit Union (once they opened) and reported this to them after researching the 334-450-0270. The number appears to be based in Montgomery AL.

This is getting stranger - that number is also listed as an international calling card access number - see Alabama on http://www.wctsystems.com/access_numbers. So is it a cell phone - or an access line - or what? (Cell phone info came from whitepages.com). If I were you, I'd be VERY careful about this number - DON'T call it back. Alright - enough - I'm done.

When I answered this call, a computerized voice said, "This is Max Federal Credit Union." I hung up because I don't have an MFCU account; a month ago a call came to my cell phone, asking me to contact that number because my bank account had been compromised. When I finally got the voice mail, again, it came up as MFCU--I deleted it because I don't have an account.
Later, I learned that it was a scam.
