Just received call from this number. Identified on caller id as DIR ASST AL. When I answered they said they were with GE Security. Told them I wasn't interested and hung up. I am on do-not-call list but it doesn't seem to make a difference in the number of telemarketer phone calls I get.

This number started calling me yesterday coming up on caller ID as Directory Assistance. When it rang today, I decided to answer, it was a few seconds before it clicked to an operator who called me by name and identified herself as being GE Home Security. Said there had been a lot of break-ins in my area lately and "they" would like to provide me with a system. At that point, I told her I had everything I needed, was not interested & hung up.

I received a call from this number today and the man ask for Mrs. Spiers. I have laryngitis so I could not speak. He finally said "Oh forget it, it is not worth it" and hung up.

I am an admin assistant to an accounting firm and received a call from this number today. When I greeted the call with the name of my company, a gentlemen immediately responded with a "Nuh Uh" and hung up on me. Caller ID said "Dir Assist AL". What a scam!

I answered the phone and it was obvious that he was using some sort of auto dialing. I didn't catch his name, but it was probably fake anyway. He did say he was with GE Home Security. Since I had already received at least 3 hangups already today, I asked him how many time he has called this number today?

i received this call too i looked it up one number said mo cigar co. then i received this number

717-555-1212,looked it up it came up denise brooks PA. caller id listing as dir.asst.PA or dir asst.AL

I live in a southern state and got calls from this number, but also got calls from 717-555-1212. But the arrogant attitude of the man that called today tells me he also called using another scam with a fake 800 number. He thinks his computer technology is protecting him, but the more he calls the same number with different scams the closer he gets to being caught. He says he is not breaking the do not call list because he is not selling anything, but that only means he is doing something illegal.

I received a call on my cell phone at 7:25 PM May 3, 2012. When I picked up the phone, it wentd dead. I called back but I got a message saying the number was blocked. I called again on another phone and got a message asking to search for a business or service.

They called and hung up. It said DIRECT ASSIST on my caller Id. When I did a return call they denied calling me.
