These people have been calling my work too! Big scam ! He got angry with me and told me he was gonna f*** me hard! He rattled off my social security number account numbers and address ! Kind of scary! Even been trying to deduct money out of my checking account and eventually I had to open a new one! I changed my phone number too! I will just have to keep an eye on my  credit report report because they have my social and that really sucks

A guy with very strong India accent called from this number named Anthony said that he had warrants out for my arrest cause they deposited money into my account and i didnt pay it back said it was a payday loan I didnt even apply for when. When I requested MOR information he hung up He said police would be at my house in 48 hours to pick me up.  i dont know how they got my info and i have filed a police report as well.  HE SAID THAT HE WAS A LAWYER FOR AMERICAN PAYDAY CASH LOANS

A person called identified himself as Enrique Banks.  He stated that if I or my lawyer did not return his call immediately that it would be on me and he wished me good luck.  I do not know this person or recognize this number. I have no idea why he would leave a message like this.

The same thing happened to me after I filled out information on online payday loans. I never applied for an online loan, but now I have this crazy group calling me all the time saying I am going to be arrested. It is always 819-1630, but sometimes it is an international number, sometimes it has a different area code, and sometimes it is just 819-1630. I made a complaint with the FTC and my state's Attorney General, but these people know all my information, which is scary. One call showed up on my phone as 911. I know there are programs that can do this, but it was still odd to have a flashing siren and the words "Emergency Call" on my screen. In that call, the same person claimed to be "Sheriff Officer Michael Brown from Oklahoma State County. Oh, I mean, Stillwater County." Yeah, there is no such thing as Stillwater county, and when I told him he was a scam, he started yelling my social security number, address, and place of work before saying I would be arrested in 10 minutes. Called my local police, and they had no idea what I was talking about of course. Lovely people. /sarcasm

I received the same call he stated those exact same words, but I had a few words for him...I think I got under his skin cause there is no way a real lawyer will tell me to suck his private parts. This man is a joke and if he thinks he can call people and harrass them or change his calling number he is sadly mistaken. The police will be there to pick him up. It is sad that people waste there life trying to steal from others especially ones that are already struggling or don't have any money.

I got the exact same phone call and he keeps calling me. Only difference is he said it was JD & Valentine Law Firm. My husband called the number right back and it was the same man. If it was a real law firm it would have went to the front desk plus he keeps calling me around 8-9pm. The only thing that scares me is that he knows my information. Last 4digets of my ss and that i bank who i bank with.

This is a criminal extortion ring operating out of India. They are using VOIP to spoof phone numbers and the names of legitimate and/or ficticious firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. ABC News released an investigative report on it in June. The FTC has indicted one of its ringleaders for criminal fraud:

they called me at my job and told me that if i didnt get a green dot card and pay them 856 dollars they would send officers to my job to arrest me, when i asked for there info they informed me it was illegal for them to give any info about there client to me, I still have no idea why this is happening to me

This person claimed to be a Federal Agent then cussed me out when I asked for a number to verify his identity.  Not sure where they got my information, but they called my employer also.

I filed a police report here in Tampa as they keep harrasing me over a payday loan that I have never applied for nor recieved. Hillsborough County Sherriff stressed I needed to make a report as the FDLE and FBI are investigating these people. It is a SCAM!!!
