I am on the fed do not call list

keeps calling,never aswer it.  do not know who it is but i supect it to be fraud

received a call and they asked for my son the girl was rude and i tried to call them back and the number has b een disconnected lol just goes to show the scammers are always trying to scam the poor people  they need to get a grip on reality

This number shows up on caller id as Blocked Name on my home phone. Since I do not have outgoing long distance on my home phone, I attempted to call it back on my cell but reached "We're sorry, the call did not go through, please check the number and try again". It is again being reported to the DoNotCall registry. It shows as Greensboro NC on my cell phone.

However, I did pick up the phone, put it down for a few seconds, then slammed it down on the caller after saying you reached a caller id line.

Let's see if they call back. Have a loud whistle handy.

We got a call last night from this number and again just a minute ago.  We never answer and they never leave a message.  It just says Greensboro NC on the Caller ID.

I got a call from this number.  I usually don't answer if the ID isn't someone I recognize, but I answered this time.  It was a woman and she asked for a person with the same last name as me, but the first name wasn't anyone in this family.  I said there was no person by that name here and she said "ok, sorry to bother you" and I hung up.

I called 336-574-3000 and asked if 336-217-0877 was their number.  They confirmed that it was and I said they do surveys.  I said I do not want to have any more calls from their company.  The woman said okay and hung up on me.

I have been receiving multiple hang-ups a day in the last month.  I want it to stop.  We state on our answering machine that we screen our calls.  Can I call this number to say 'no more calls ever'?  Would it stick?

I too have been receiving hangup calls from this rediculous number and I know its not an ex. Tried to
call back the number and the recorder says its unable to complete the call. ?????? It's someone trying to mess our Smart FONES up.

Saturday August 18th 2012, I just got a call from this number (336-217-0877) this morning, it was on my caller-ID as "Private Call."

I noticed that if I don't recognize the number shown on caller-ID, I can press the speaker-phone button twice(very quickly), and this will disconnect the caller. After doing this a few times when they call, they'll stop calling.

Note: In order for this to work, you must do it before the second ring, and the room you're in must be quite(no background noise, like TV, Radio, People talking, etc.).

For the days that I'm not at home or not near the phone to use the trick. I'll enter the bothersome number on my phone's "Caller Reject" function.

I came across this old phone at a second-hand store, it's a "Radio Shack Caller ID System 1100."
NOTE: This is an old(circa. 1990s) phone, and no longer sold by Radio Shack.

One of the features of this phone is a "VIP/REJECT" button, this allows me to enter the number of a caller that I want to stop calling me.

When that number calls, it's greeted with the following message built into the phone "The Number you are calling will not accept your call." After the message is delivered, the call is disconnected.

Tired of the these calls in the late evening. The DNCL must be worthless.

I just got a call asking a lot of political questions about the state I live in which is Wa. the call said N.C When My husband asked what was going on the gentleman said he would call back and we could finish the survey at a later time.

I'm sick of these calls too.  Now I pick up the phone and just lay it down till they hang up.  If they're going to intrude on life, I'm going to waste their time.

Started getting calls at this number on 7/19/12.  Have not picked up yet, but will be locating my very loud whistle for future calls.

Receiving unwanted calls daily from 336-217-0877.  Says private caller.  I'm on a no call list.

Received a call from this number this evening. The name was listed as PRIVATE NUMBER, but the number did come up on caller ID. It was a survey company asking my opinion of timeshares. I went through the whole survey. It was about 10 minutes. I didn't feel like it was a sales call, but you never know.

That's precisely how it was handled in an old Seinfeld episode.  Great tactic.  It works!
