I saw this on my called id, answered it since i have many business associates in the area. someone with a garbled voice spoke, i could not understand him, asked him to repeat, got the same garbles voice and i hung up.

I am getting calls from 336.272.0604 showing up as GREENSBORO, NC - same symptoms as others have reported - hangups and no messages. I am also getting similar calls from a number 201.793.1716 but it shows up as JERSEYCITY NJ. Apparently some mass media company has figured out how to make these IDs show up this way on caller-id.

They claim to be from something called 'my local directory'.

I keep getting calls from this number and it just says Greensboro, NC. They don't ever leave a message. Does anybody know who this is?
