Did not answer this call as I did not recognize the phone number. I called back and went to voicemail that belonged to Michael Walker. I will add this to my list of fraud numbers so I can give to the police.

This company is shameful. They call my office at least once a week and ask for my boss by his first name like they are best friends. They try to pretend it's not a sales call, but that's exactly what it is. They try to scare you by saying there are things wrong with your business credit report, inquiries, etc. I have had several representatives be very rude to me as well when they ask when my boss will be in the office. My boss is never in the office, he's out in the field and only stops in occasionally.

I finally added my business to the do not call list, and that was an awful experience as well. The guy who answered the phone gave me such an attitude as soon as I said what I wanted. He said "I don't know what company your with, I don't have your phone number'. I could hear giggling in the background.

Dun and Bradstreet Credibility Corp is indeed a separate company but with a license to use the Dun and Bradstreet name.

Anyway, I got the same misleading pitch. After googling, I'll be sure not to pass along the message to my boss.  (I'm empowered to screen his calls.)  I find myself unable to see how this activity doesn't sully Dunn & Bradstreet's (the original company) reputation.

Folks can call 800-333-0505 to get on DBCC's own do-not-call list.  It's a pity they've made the choice to *not* filter against the national do-not-call registry.  You'd think their calls would have a better success rate if they did.

re:  Response above.  I don't know what "math" it is that we're supposed to do.  And why should WE do any research?  They're the ones calling us.  Your response sounds like you work for the company in question.

Anyway, we received a call from someone with very poor phone manners, couldn't articulate what she was talking about, and wasted our time.  If this is really D&B, their quality has slipped.

All of you negative comments are a reflection upon you, as supposed business owners. They say they are from Dun and Bradstreet Credibility Corp. Before you go all insane w/ false accuasations, do your research. Every call they make, they say Credibility Corp, if they do not, they get fired. They do not pretend to be D&B, and honestly, if you had done your research, you would know that prior to 2 years ago, they were D&B. It's all the same people, at the same building, selling the same products. People love the negativity bandwagon, but educated business owners do their research. Millions of satistifed customers, less than 2 pages of uneducated complainers. You do the math.

For days this idiot has been calling our office.  The number to return his call is 866-257-6104 extension 1171 byt the caller id says 336-286-1700.  Says they're from D&B and he needs to discuss activities on the company report.  Total BS to me.

Just got a call from his number telling me 4 different people had requested my company credit file and how much they had paid. I ask the lady if this was a solitation call and she said no, but went on to tell me that I really needed to know who was wanting my credit file and they could not give me that information free. I told her have a nice day, I have to get back to my world. This IS a solitation call!

I received a call from Lou Tucci who proceeded to tell me that our credit was in jeopardy.  Then he asked me for my direct number and said he would call me back.  I thought that was odd, but OK.  When he called back he told me that we were being recorded.  In the interim, I googled his number and I want to thank you all for posting what you did above.  It helped me in dealing with this jerk.

He asked me for our D&B number, which I assumed he should have and did not give it to him.  He said he sees our business has been around since 1998 and that we have only 3 suppliers, yet there are over 43 companies paying for a full report on us whenever there's a change in our credit. The report is not favorable, he stated.

First of all, we've been in business since 1974, have close to 1000 suppliers and if companies are inquiring, more power to them!  We're in great shape!  He e-mailed to me the report on our firm and started to review it.  At the top was the D & B number - it was NOT OURS.

I told him that that is not our D&B number, so this is clearly not our report.  I will be happy to call D&B directly myself to see who this report does belong to, "if" it somehow linked to us.  I told him that I googled his phone number and know they are not truly Dun & Bradstreet themselves and know that this clearly is a scam.  His response to all of this:  "Really?!  Really?!"

Wow, that's all he had to say for himself!  I ended the call.  I guess he wasn't prepared to have the truth thrown back at him.

Do not give these people your information or the time of day!  They are not legit!

I receive calls from this number, first time I called back. They talked about some unpaid taxes on my business. I asked what business, (I have a few companies). They said the nae of one of my companies. I figured they are fake, this company was new and there was no way it owed taxes from a the year before it was incorporated. Hello the company didn't exists. I asked the not to call, but they kept calling. Until one day I discovered blocked calls, Now they are blocked.

They way it works is:
They call, it picks up and hangs up automatically, and marks it as spam phone call. Now I can care less if they call try to call.

The caller claims to be from D&B, but he is not. THIS IS FRAUD!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The moron doesn't even know how to spell D&B correctly - it is Dun and not Dunn. The caller will ask for private business information and then attempt to steal your identity. Ignore the call or pick up and give this loser a peice of your mind.............

Left a message claiming to be from Dunn & Bradstreet. Caller's name was Rhonda. Said something about incomplete  report of credit - companies searching our business, credibility corp, etc... Even gave a reference number to refer to. Did not return the call. Woman was not well spoken - could tell it was a scam by her inability to communicate properly.

got a call from 336-286-1797 from Ural McKnight claiming to be from D&B.  He asked for one of the other owners of the company and I told him I was the co-owner.  He just started talking away to me.  I could have been anyone here.
He kept going on and on about how important it is I know who is making inquiries on my account.  I told him I didn't really care.  I didn't even know it was a scam until I googled the number.

D&B has an obligation to provide accurate information to potential clients about the credit worthiness of potential clients, after all companies pay them every day for this information.  Would that not mean that they have a fiduciary responsibility to verify the information is correct in the first place?  How are they able to charge the client for a copy of my credit report and then come to me and say if you don?t pay us we will not report accurate information.

My company has been in business 12 years; we did over 2 million last year, we are debt free and our d D&B report is basically the same as when we started with 100k in sales even though we have paid them twice in that time, they do not keep the updated information on our credit report.

I will gladly assist D&B in correcting my report but I'm unwilling to pay for it when they are already getting paid by creditors.   How can they claim to be providing accurate information to creditors when they knowingly ignore real credit information provided by my company?

Dun Bradstreet. Got this call wanting me to establish business credit rating. They told me that we had business loans that we do not have. Nothing is registered in the business name as far as any loans, vehicles, or any other items. Where do they get their information? I have never registered any business with them nor do I ever intend to do so. Please let us alone.

This is a high pressure sales call from "Dunn & Bradstreet" (why misspelled on caller ID?) telling me that people are checking my business credit. I asked first thing what he was selling and said "not selling you anything"... went through his script again and then I asked him how much the annual fee is. "starts at $449" so he started out with a blatant LIE. Sorry, not getting my business. EVER. Had to tell him several times I was not interested and to remove my information from his records and never call again. Wasting my time and called me at home on my do not call registered residential line at 8:25am. No reputable business would act like this.

Sounds like the same sales pitch that a**le used on my answering machine, hmmmm.Anyway,I applied for and EIN number, and my guess is that's who's selling our numbers to these fly by night jack a***s!The Federal Government is giving away our private information, anyone surprised. That wasn't a question. So if for any reason you gave the Feds your phone number, you may as well change it,because these BS calls will continue as long as you have the same number.Telemarketers.
