calling about an old phone bill but when i called the number back it is not the same name that the caller stated that it was so he told me i need to pay my bill in full and i told him to take his credit card out and pay it since he wanted it paid so badly and then he hung up the phone

it is a group calling themselves sunrise collecions agency for cell phone companies and i told him since he wanted the bill paid so badly that he needed to take his credit card out and pay for it and stop harrassing me on the job and soon after that he hung up the phone and placed the number on my reject list

"American Future Fund" which is a conservative group annoying voters with their slanted "survey" against Obama. This is why they bought the supreme court and got them to allow unlimited secret money to go to organizations like this to have monied interest influence our election process and legislate favorably for their special interests.

I am glad you have had good luck but since the majority of the Robocalls dont pay attention to the law, you are actually confirming a valid phone number by calling back which many times mean they sell your phone number as part of a list.

It all depends on who the telemarketer is but I find at least 70% could care less about the laws..  And many are actually run overseas.

I am convinced that blocking the numbers with software is the only solution for now.

I do agree that phone companies should all allow unlimmited call blacking as part of their service but it is not in their interest to do so.

Simply call the number back, leave your first and last name, the state in which you live and the phone number that you want removed from their polling list.

I do this faithfully with each of these annoying callers. It has reduced the number of calls I receive by about 99%.

Just takes a minute but is well worth the time.

When I called back, I got a message stating they are American Future Funds Polling Line. A supposed non-profit polling agency. It says to leave your name, number and state you live in, and they will remove you from the list.  More than likely, that means they will call you even more.

Gotten a couple of calls from this number. Will have to block it.

This could be fixed very quickly and that is make the common carriers liable for the caller id always being valid and enforcement of the Do Not Call list. They claim to have no control yet they are the ones leasing blocks if numbers to these idiot telemarketing firms. At the same time create a regulation that all phone companies must allow wild card and unlimited call blocking. It won't take long to retrieve our privacy after this.

I suspect that this individual is calling so that his boss will think he is making his quota of calls, though he is afraid to actually speak to someone.  He should be fired.

It's a political opinion survey.

I happen to live in the same area code so I actually thought this number was a client.  Fortunately, I only got silence from this Robo Call.  I then look it up to see it is aother telemarketer.

I do not know what everyoe else oes but I have a phone that has 50 numbers it blocks but the memory is full so I know use a cheap $10 modem from off the net and free call blocking software off the internet that automatically leaves a message such as "Your number is no longer in service", :No Telemarketers allowed. Put me on the do not call list" or any .wav file you can find.  

I use Phonetray which is free and am not affiliated with them.  I just post this everytime I get a NEW Telemarketer call.  Unclse Sam is not doing anything so we have to fight this telemarketer thing together.  Please do something to stop it.  I am a small business so technically the do not call list does not apply to me yet telemarketers call my home, business, and cell with these robo dials so I am trying to help other people at least stop their phone from ringing.  A personal computer and a USB voice model is the cheapest way to go.

By the way, reporting does no good. I have tried that on the calls coming to my home line.  I do not have the time to try to sue everyone who calls and reporting it to the FCC is a joke.  You get nothing and these telmarketer scum generally do not play by the rules.


Also, please note whenever you donate to charity, you will start to get a lot more telemarketer calls.  i am not suggesting not to donate but big name charities do give away or sell your names.

Calling number 336-355-7054: Received call at 16:40 on 10/10/2012, since it gave no name just the phone number I allowed the answering machine to pick it up. Nothing was said for about 15 seconds, before they hung up. Think I'll set my phone to reject unknown caller id's, if able. I have already used up my 6 blocked numbers so have to come up with some other way to reject them. This is truly and aggravation.

I have a phone for my computer and to get messages. Rarely use it, but everyday I get calls about free security systems,  lower interest rates, whatever.  You report them and nothing happens. Might have a solution tho if we could get everyone doing it.  If you don't have 'call forwarding' get it. Everybody set their phone to forward calls to the FCC or even your state attorney general.  Maybe if they start getting a couple hundred calls a day they'll do something.

You are so right - I, too, am sick of everyone else using MY phone to bother me!!!

All my friends know not to call me between 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm.  They adhere to this request.  It's mandatory that I rest in the afternoon.
This telemarketer calls EVERYDAY at this time.  I am so tired of being disturbed.  How can I get rid of them.?  I have ask to be removed from all call like this and they don't listen or pay attention.

No reply when I answered phone . Assumed it was robo call from somewhere wanting me to buy , donate , or answer some survey . I am about to "STOP" these calls by cutting off my phone service after over 25 years of same phone #  ! The do not call list is not working and too much trouble to fill out a complaint . I'd be spending the majority of my day filling out the complaint with all the calls I'm getting !

Telemarketers , robo calls , charity donations , and surveys are using my phone more than I ever use it . Maybe if telephone companies lose enough customers because of these type of calls , they would do something to stop all these rude interrupting calls .

After all --- money talks ------ and if telephone companies start losing customers , they will go out of business ! Perhaps they need a wake up call for not supporting their customer base .

If telephone companies would allow area code blocking , that would "STOP" over 97% of these type of calls . I BLAME telephone companies for not providing sercurity measures to their customers and I'm about to ditch my phone company .
