Caller called at 7:42PM on November 24, 2007. Did not leave a message.

Received a call from this number today and a message was left saying it was AmEx  and to return their call as it concerns an important matter.  I don't have and never have had an AmEx credit card.

Therefore, I will not be returning their call.  I have a phone service feature that I can block calls from this or any other number I don't want calling me, and this number was
entered.  Hopefully end of problem.

It is AMEX  they are ruthless, and yes they have all your numbers,even your siblings! And because you owe them money they can call you between 8-5  untill they get a reply or person. I have found hooking up the fax machine to the phone and let IT answer the calls have pretty much stopped at home, but dam they dont give up with my cell #     Ed

Likewise, i received this call frequently and freak me out coz i have no idea how they get my number.It's alarming and sounds like post a security threat. I'm going to inform NSA.

Sunday morning 8 am!!

Have received over 50 calls from this number.  They call and hang up - no messages left.  Very annoying, aggravating, etc.  Even had to turn off ringer on phone - that is how many times they call - at least 5 times a day. Reported them to the FTC, the attorney general's office, etc.  Hopefully, they will stop once they get contacted by the authorities.

Comes up North Carolina on Called ID as well as the date(s) and times.

I have been a good standing member with my corporation concerning American Express since 1987!!
Two and a half months ago a charge came in that at the time could not be verified because I was on a much needed vacation. I instructed the accountant to call them and tell them we were paying the rest of the balance ON TIME until the owner of the card could return to search their charge receipts for one that matched the amount. The person at American Express duly noted this dispute which BTW all of us are allowed until it can be resolved!!! The rest of the balance was paid. Shortly after that my accountant of 35 years fell and broke both wrists.She had to have major surgery with screws and pins to hold her wrists for healing. She is still not okayed to return to work and in the interium, her daughter who is not that familiar with my business account because she handles other accounts in their bookkeeping firm, has been trying to fill in. That means many daily phone calls. And some trips to her mothers home. Then before the next statement even came in, American Express starting call me AT HOME in a completely different state from where I run my corporation. How they got my home number is a mystery but as we all know in this society of nothing is sacred and we are all under SOMEONE'S radar, my understanding was that the amount had been formerly disputed, the rest was paid and my accounting office was just waiting until the next bill to see if I could verify that the disputed amount was a valid one. I DID do that between the two billing statements and we were all prepared to pay any new charges and the disputed one. Protocol states that any disputed amount cannot be charged a late fee but American Express has now put on TWO $35.00 late fee charges on the billing. That is ILLEGAL!! Where it stands now is that a week ago my still out of commission accountant called American Express FROM HER HOME and was given a confirmation # from American Express for the final amount that was being paid to have a ZERO BALANCE on the account. American Express indicated to my accountant that on that same day they would draft the total amount due less the $70.00 late fees and they indicated that they had the checking account # in order to do that. WE thought every thing was taken care of. But for the last SIX DAYS they have called my home and left no message at least SEVEN TIMES, as other bloggers have indicated above has happened to them from the phone # of 336-393-1006 which BTW, Area code 336 is a NANPA area code which covers northwest North Carolina, mainly the Piedmont Triad region and the northern Foothills and northern Mountain regions. It was created out of area code 910 in 1997. I actually answered one of thos SEVEN calls and they said nothing. The other calls went to voice mail and they left no message. This is MAJOR HARRASMENT on THEIR PART and I shudder to think WHAT other people go through that have not been a member since 1987 who pays the entire balance monthly. The ONLY amount that my corporation has EVER disputed was this recent one and we got their assurances that their was no problem in doing that. They are liars and no wonder very few retailers accept American Express!!!

Continue receiving calls from this number.  Calls early am before 8 am and all day at various times.  Leaves no messages.   Today on called ID it came up North Carolina 10:12 am 7/12/10. Don't know who is calling.

Received numerous calls from this number.  Left no messages.  Also hung up.  Very annoying.  Am on Do Not Call  registry.  Somehow they got my cell phone number which I only give out to family and friends. Comes up North Carolina 3:54 pm. July 10 on Caller ID. Notifying feds and local authorities about harassing calls fro
m them. Also notify AG's office and maybe bring legal action against them.

They also call on Holidays.  Early in the morning.

Received calls at 8:02a, 8:04a and 8:06am  ON A HOLIDAY!
