Was called by this number this morning.  No response from the caller.  After a few seconds, the call disconnected.

Also lists 700 park avenue which is a lawn to an office building one block up from this house.Phone Number listed to both addresses is (336) 638-6408

The address and name that I found to that number by searching 36.08 longitude and  -79.78 latitude given for that number is: PCXperts ,623 Park Ave.27405-7711 Also lists a differant phone number 336-638-6408 than the annoying one that keeps coming from this greensboro address.If you put in these co-ordinates to google maps you can see the house up close right down to the color of paint.Maybe this info can help someone put an end to these unwanted calls.

Same thing. Caller ID says coming from Greensboro NC. Begins with line about "online yellow pages". Hangs up if told don't have a business,

The question is Who assigns US phone numbers?  Somebody (or agency) has to.  Who?

I agree.  The same thing has happened at our company for the last few weeks.  A few times everyday.  Caller is always different.  Heavy accent with an English name (right...) Says they are updating our on-line listing.  Which we do not have.  Eventually it will stop for a few months only to pick up again where they left off, calling from a new number.

Just got a call....about the 500th one.  Indian accent...said want to verify information for yellow pages....They record every thing you say.  Never say "yes" to anything they record and use it for something else. SCAM..SCAM..SCAM.  How can these people be stopped???? Anyone know how to stop these people.  Call back number and its disconnected....What a waste of time on our business line.  Where is the "Government" when you need them.   Why does the telephone company give them a phone.  Talk about harrassment....

It is a biz marketing company wanting to update info. on your company for a free business listing.  ...hung up on them... dont have time for that.

Got calls for the past week or two at the same time each day.  It's disturbing, but since we don't answer calls we don't know, we don't pick it up.  I called it back, and got the same result as others in this post that it's been disconnected.

Like the comment above - caller likes to ring around 8:30AM, leaves no message.

They've called twice so far, once at 8:58 AM and again at 9:26 AM. I didn't answer either call because I don't answer calls from numbers I don't recognize. My guess is that these calls are done by VOIP and will never be traced or the criminals arrested. Just don't answer! Never, ever answer calls from anybody you don't know. That's what voicemail is for.

Indian accent.  "Business Yellow Pages."  Told him never to call me again -- EVER!"  Yeah, that'll work, right?

My phone has been ringing every few minutes for the last  for 14 hours,  when I picked up the phone there was just a dial tone not even a click, except for the two times I got the recording that my call cannot be completed as dialed.
Nothing showed up on my caller ID on my phone, but 336-424-9684 did show up on my cablevision caller ID (on TV screen) identified as "Greensboro NC"

Caller with thick foreign accent asked for homeowner. He said he was from our local yellow pages calling to verify our name and address. I heard a call center going on in the background.  I would not verify anything and asked why he was calling from the out of town number posted (and not a local number or Bellsouth). He then hung up on me.  Please don't give any information to these people or even let them record you saying "yes."

Did not leave message. I called the number back and a recording said it had been disconnected

Caller ID: S. Carolina call. No message. Not the first time.

Got a call at 9:42am on 12/2/09. No message left.  When I called the number back it was disconnected and no longer in service.

Likes to call every morning at 8:30 AM for about a week now. Have not answered since I don't answer calls I don't know
