This just started this morning for me, I received the 336 number first stating my social FULL number, my name and place of employment. He said I needed to call him back or he was going to call my job and speak to manager. I don't know what to do...what do you suggest being that this has just happend to you?? Do I call back or ignore him, I know this is a scam, but want it to stop!

Any suggestions would be appreciative.

Thanks in advance,

So the first call I got today was from the number ending in 7512.. At first I listened and was concerned that somebody had stolen my identity. Then I asked them what I had to to get my name off of that list because they were calling me like crazy. I kept telling them that I was the person they asked for but I do not owe a debt to anyone. that's when he started screaming at me and told me I had to go to a western union or money gram and send them the money right away or they would start calling my work. right when they said western union or money gram only.. no credit card or auto debit from my bank account, i knew this was not a case of stolen identity but of fraud. So, I was feeling a lil bored today, so what the hell... I played the game... I told them I was headed to my local money gram center... waited for them to call back... told them I got lost and couldnt find it.. waited for them to call back again... told them I sent the money.... they called back 20 minutes later and said the money wasn't there. so i told them i gave them wrong security info and was going back to money gram again.... Finally, I just busted out laughing and told them "nice try"... The man got so damn mad that he called me a w***e and told me he wanted to "stick it in my a**". I asked him why he didn't get a real job instead of stealing money from innocent people. he told me I don't understand his life and he doesnt have a green card. He continued to go on and on about how God makes good people and bad people and somehow God made a mistake and made him a bad person. He straight admitted he was scamming people and he did it for easy money. This admission didn't come easy... I kept calling and calling and calling and saying "well, you wanted to call me so many times today that now I am calling you... So, hows your day"...... Don't ask him if his mother is ashamed of him... LOL, he gets really upset. Anyway... they will call your job... somehow they do have your information but just print these forums off and show them to your employer.. they will understand. the calls will stop, their phones only stay active for a couple of days before they change their number and move on. But, when you do get the calls.... call them back and harrass them... lol, they don't like it..... Good luck to ya =)

these crazy people are calling me claiming i owe some company money which I do not. They will not even disclose the name of the company. they keep calling me over and over again, I cannot figure out how they even have my information. they told me they wont stop calling until i go to a western union and send them money. this is obviously some crazy scam that they are doing to get money from people. Sadly, I am sure people are falling for it. I am just confused as to how they have my information. I don't know how to get rid of them!! UGHHH! Some people need to get a real job and quit trying to scam hard working people out of their money. crazy thing is they have my social security number and drivers license number! Where could they have gotten this information from??

I received in excess of 20 calls from this number today at work - it comes up in caller id as "unknown number", 702-218-7965, and 240-476-1135. (The 336 number is the call-back line.) Since they won't tell me who they represent, I left them a voice mail to stop calling me at work and reminded them that it's illegal to do so after being told to stop. I also indicated that, should they wish to communicate with me, they presumably have my address and/or email (as any legitimate collector would have) and that I will not accept any phone calls. We'll see what they do with that. If it's legit, they'll abide by the law; if it's a scam, I guess I'll have to find another way to stop them.

I was called at my job today and on my cell phone by this guy named Brian Ross and told that I needed to pay for a debt that was discharged in my bankruptcy filing last year. He also stated that there was a legal case against me and that I was under investigation for fraud. This guy even disclosed my social security number to me over the phone. I felt, and still feel uneasy about this whole situation and am in fear of someone compromising my social security number as well as putting my
in jeopardy.

this is an eastern indian person, wanting to speak to a staff member. they say he has a judgement against his social number and he needs to confirm some things with them. I know that this is how they piece together parts of your conversation and make it seem that you have agreed to something that you never did. DO NOT TALK TO THEM. hang up, or say that no one is there by that name, or you will never get rid of them.
the man identifies him self as John Brovo, his supervisor is Juan Garcia, ..and a side note..Juan has a hispanic accent for about 3 min of the conversation, until he gets mad...then it switches back to a middle eastern one.

Received call from 336-609-7631 and 366-455-7512 both from Misty I did not answer but did call back later.

I left a message that I new that this was a scam received them before same routine. I told her to bring it on and that I had helped put other people like her and her scam "Budies" in jail more than once and they were serving hard prision time and would love to do it again. I called again later, just for fun so they could see how it felt and by gosh BOTH numbers were disconnected.

Just fight back with intimidation towards them and I have found them to back off
