This number usually only calls once a day. I never answer. I figure if they really need to speak with me, they'll leave a voicemail telling me who they are, why they're calling and a contact name and number. They never do so I assume it's a telemarketer. Today they've called me 8 times in the last 30 mins. 8 FREAKING TIMES. This is ridiculous. I've save the number and assigned it a silent ring tone for now.

Get calls anywhere from 2 to 12 times a day. On SUNDAY they called at 8:02AM and their last call was at 8:58PM ON A SUNDAY!! never leave a message and when I do decide to pick it up their is a long pause then they hang up.
How do we make this harrassment stop?????? Do we have any rights left in this world? Do we have any privacy rights? Last I knew their were laws about these jerks methods of calling how do we get those enforced??

Leaves no message. The post says it is Citicorp but I dont owe them or any of their cards. The holidays are coming beware of scams!!

These are the collection people for different credit card companies. They use an auto-dialer so that when you pick up it takes about 8 seconds for some foreign woman to get on the phone and tell you that you owe them money. If you don't owe them money then I would tell them to quit calling my phone. Also send a request to them in writing and ask that they stop calling you.

I called Cirrus - Citibank (south dakota) today at 1800-547-3673 and verified the number with them. They said that their claims department was calling me as a information to let me know my payment was late. So this number is valid. In the message they asked me to call 1800-388-2200, which citibank said is theirs.

I just filed a complaint with the FTC about them today. They call at least 6 times a day. They won't stop calling! They laugh and hang up, and argue with me when I tell them to stop calling. I even read them the rules from the FDCPA and they stated it did not apply to WV. The rules apply to everyone in the U.S.

Sometimes this call is from Citi Card, which could also be a Goodyear Tire or Home Depot account. When I ask who they represent, they usually tell me. Yes, I'm a little behind, but payment arrangements are made; however, until payment is made, calls will continue. Hope this helps someone.

Just called the number back after receiving 4-6 calls/day for a month. Lady answered "CitiBank", checked my phone number, and said they don't show any accounts under it. Then said it is probably an affiliate doing "skip trace" calls for some other card providor, and that she was powerless to stop the calls, because they were not actually coming from them, but from someone with the permission to spoof their number under a business partner agreement. She said I would just have to answer the phone to find out who it really is.

I'm like everyone else, I do NOT have Sears Card and this 336-522-8999 calls as least 5 times a day, no one on line when I answer, I too am on the do not call registry. What can I do to correct this? It has been happening over three weeks
Annoyed 2011-06-06 20:46:29 Unknown
What I do is I answer and put the phone in a room where there aren't any noises. I have tried asking them to not call, but apparently no one is capable of taking a number off a list. The last time I just let the phone sit there, the stupid lady wasted 3.5 minutes just sitting there and waiting. She finally said, "That's really rude," and hung up. Just annoy them back!

I think they have called me about 15 times today. Usually at least twice in a span of 10 minutes. I was really busy today so never answered. No messages so I look it up, and see that all of you are having the same problem. What a pain. I have a Citi card but will pay it off and cancel my account! Never deal with them again!

This number calls my house everyday between the hours of 8:00 am and 8:00pm, a couple of times a day. I have a small baby and I don't need my phone ringing at 8 in the morning or 8 at night. I am tired of this number calling my home and would like it to stop.

They call at least 4 times a day - sometimes only 10 minutes apart. They do not leave a message. I do not answer. I too have a Sears card, but have not used it in last 5 years
Tiffany S 2011-06-06 20:46:29 Unknown
They call ten times a day - never leave a message. It is driving me crazy. I have picked up several times and no one is on the other line.
Larry 2011-06-06 20:46:29 Unknown
They called and said that I owed 100 plus dollars on my credit card. All my accounts are always up-to-date.
Dover 2011-06-06 20:46:29 Unknown
These people will not leave me alone, all my credit cards are current....I'm thinking of changing my phone number now.
Glen 2011-06-06 20:46:29 Unknown
I'm getting 6-7 calls a day (from both the 8998 and 8999 numbers) and I have no Sears or Citigroup accounts not do I owe anybody money. There's got to be a way to stop these idiots. If they have a telephone number, then they can be tracked down. Someone out there in cyberspace must know how to do this.

I am getting 4 and 5 calls a day with no message. Returned a call to the number and they demand to know my Sears acct number - and say that my payment is past due.
