LOL here Selfors complained about his $400,000 home being devalued because mutil-family homes were allowed to be built around his house.

Mr. Rob Selfors, 2325 Marlow Drive (has sense moved to Raleigh), stated that he had recently purchased a $400,000 home and that the City should respect his investment and not rezone surrounding property. He Sold the house because of all the lawsuits against him.

Very interesting posts I have been reading here!!!  Surely do wish I had read these comments BEFORE I hired American kitchen corporation.  We are in the throws of a nightmare kitchen remodel.  I have not met this Rob you mention but have certainly met Tyler Sheets.  What a nightmare this remodel has been for us!  I have never heard so many lies from the sales person to the designer and every sub that has shown up (or not shown up which has been more common).  These people have no truth or integrity in them.  If you are considering a remodel with American Kitchen corporation in Burlington, NC ....... RUN AWAY as fast as you can.  I have never seen such substandard work!

He is replaced by Tyler Sheets as president, but I've encountered their bad service and disregard for customers and heard from the subs complaining of their very SLOW payments as well.

Kitchen Carolina might have been shutdown, but it re-appeared as 'American Kitchen Corporation' of Alamance, NC with Rob Selfors replaced by Tyler Sheets as president for the new company. I hired them to completely redo my kitchen on January 2nd,2012 for a price of over $27K.

I am still in a dispute with AKC in regard to the granite countertops they installed. They blatantly disregarded my repeated requests for a granite countertop that is lighter and peachy which I chose originally, but instead installed countertops that are way too dark with brownish colors instead. To add insult to injury, the window sill granite piece they later installed turned out to be exactly what I wanted, but they refused to do anything about the countertops because they think they are protected by the disclaimers in the contract. All they want is to be paid for the small balance of my last payment and threatening me, a recent widow of 71 years old, with legal actions.

We fought back through GE and a substantial amount was removed from our balance.

The quality of their work is awful. It is incomplete, less than the industry standard, unprofessional and completely unsatisfactory. We ended up in court and the judge ruled 100% in our favor. They never did finish our kitchen.

I would hope that any church would have performed a thorough background check and credit check on a potential pastor/employee. This man Rob Selfors is nothing but a charlatan, and perhaps he and his scam artist wife are well-suited for the televangelist community. Can you just see them on public access TV sobbing on a stage with hands held up for donations?!

You're kidding right?  Everytime I would call KC to  speak to the person I had been dealing with I was told they "no longer worked there."  Are you Rob's wife?

KC ruined my ceiling also!  BOY, OH BOY IS IT NOT TURN KEY!!  When I had my regular painter come and repair and paint he could not believe that a contractor had left my kitchen like that.  Also, the tilers didn't grout where my tile  backsplash meets my granite, the just used regular stuff that you use in between each tile and now it is all cracked and flaking!  My island is crooked.  Rob ordered the wrong cabinets and legs TWICE.  Also, my "skins" on my cabinets don't match the cabinet doors.  Rob is a complete jerk!  He actually YELLED at me and said horrible things because I would not pay him the second half of his money until my kitchen was actually complete!  He said, "Oh come on, you can trust me!"  He was mad because he had subcontrators wanting paid and he said he couldn't pay them because I hadn't paid HIM!  I told him he needed to learn how to run a business!  However, from what I had read from his former employees, I bet he STILL didn't pay THEM after I paid Rob!  Has is this crook able to just repeatedly open a new scam every other year?

You are the one who dosen't know what he's talking about.  We were charged 10K on the GE account before the first installer stepped foot in our house.  The whole experience was a nightmare and still is 1 1/2 years later.  Now the joker wants to take us to small claims court again after almost a year.  He didn't even have the courage to come the first time.  It got dismissed.

Perhaps on the planet that you live on, Kitchen Carolina is a reputable company but not here. Rob Selfors could be the poster child for legalized retroactive abortion

Their work is shoddy, and they are totally unreliable. We used them to re-do our kitchen in 2009, and the grout in the kitchen floor is already cracking. The numbers I have for them are disconnected, so we are going to have to pay to have the floor re-done. They are terrible.

Yes they have been in business for seven years but what business??? I worked for them until the tile company started... The company is a scam... Rob and Cana Selfors are crazy racist people. Every business they have started ended as a scam.... Before the tile/litchen business we so-called hired sales people for dealerships in 4 states.... ITS A LIE too.... For every person we sent to a dealership the dealership would give us $100 per car sale for 90 days....  I assisted with interviewing contractors and I know nothing about home improvements.... STAY FAR AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE

Here is whats so funny about all of this. Rob Selfors is going to be found no matter where he goes.This will follow him forever.I have talked to someone at the Holly Hunter Baptist Church in Charlotte,NC where Rob Selfors is trying to become the pastor of the church.  "NOW GET THIS" these are his own words to these people. " I AM INDEPENDENTLY WEALTHY AND DON'T NEED ANY PAY FROM THE CHURCH TO BECOME YOUR PASTOR ". Yet he tells the contractors that he owes money too that "he is about to go bankrupt and only has 5,200.00 dollars to pay out the last 3 contractors he owes to". HMMMMMMMMM  I guess the seminary school taught him what it seems all pastors , priests and ministers are being taught these days, to lie, cheat, rape and scam the good folks of the parrish they attend . If you want god in your lives just look to the sky and inside yourselves for him,no need to go to a middle man who will profess his love for god in front of you while standing at the pulpit, Then behind your back rape children,have sex with another brother,have sex with other woman behind there wives back or steal from you and lie right to your face about who they are!!!!!! They are not in it for GOD, there in it for money only. Just like Rob and Cana Selfors.
   Good luck finding a Home to rent or buy, or an apartment to rent. With a back ground check on you, and the judgements against you and cana it will be hard to pitch a tent on a camp ground with your credit.  I hope you get everything you deserve for all the families lives you have destroyed, and all the deciet you have created along the way.

I guess its time to post on here again.  I had a nice long conversation with Rob Selfors, (owner of Kitchen Carolina) today, trying to collect the money he owes me, over $6000,  but all he could say is how broke he was and he was going to file bankruptcy and American Kitchen didnt belong to him, as if we all believe that!.  He tried to offer $1500 at first then called me back and offered $2000 which of course I said no.  
But the most interesting thing I found out a couple of weeks ago is that he has been trying to get a job as  a preacher in a church in Charlotte and is living in a hotel there.  In my conversation with him he went on how if I keep posting things about him he was going to post things about me and my business so I told him, go for it and we will see what that gets him.

Got the mailer yesterday.  Checked with BBB and this was part of the report:

"Our file information indicates that this company is linked to Kitchen Carolina and Dealerstaff both operated by Rob Selfors, President. Tyler Sheets, former VP Kitchen Carolina is named as contact and is now President of American Kitchen."

Our KC kitchen was completed but it took 6 months.
