this is US Aurways calling me to tell me about a delayed flight! They called at a crazy late time (3am), but I guess that's better than not calling at all.

I just recd a call from this number at 2 in the morning.

I had a call from this number on Thursday.  He said my flight through Philadelphia was delayed, problem was, I was on a flight through New York.  When I told him I was not on the Philadelphia flight, he said "Oh, you must be flying through Detroit".  The problem with that is, I do sometimes fly through Detroit, but only on DELTA!.

He kept trying to get me to confirm my identity.  I told him if he was really from Usarways, he would know what flight I was on and hung up.

I post my trips on Tripit.com.  I also book through Carlson Wagonlit. Those are the only two places where my Delta and Usairways flight would be combined.  Maybe someone hacked into their data?

Today I kept receiving calls from 336-748-3566.  Twice when I picked up on the call, there was nothing said by anyone, even when I told them to speak up or don't bother calling.   I checked with our phone service company Operator, who was able to tell me by the area code, and the next three numbers, that the call came from Winston-Salem, NC area.  In trying to call the number back, got a recording saying the call is being made from a phone that has restrictions, or can not be accessed at this time????  They just called again, this time I picked it up and there was a loud one time tone then nothing.  Has to be solicitation or crank call of some sort.

This was a legitimate call from US Airways.  They called my cell to report a plane delay on my itinerary.

Multiple calls with same scenario as those listed below.  How do you stop the calls?

Our daughter got a "your flight has been delayed call," after her father had left for the airport, and he asked her a few questions about her identity that spooked her, so she called me at work.  I called US Air and was told that they NEVER makes phone calls about flights.  They only send emails, and they've never heard of Edris Gibbs.  I also called the number back, and got an automated, "This number has been disconnected".  (What, in less than an hour?)  I also called the TSA, and was told that the caller wasn't one of their agents screening identities.  (Would they tell if it were?)

This whole Edris Gibbs business is very fishy.  Could it be a US Air employee who calls travelers to see if anyone is home?  If there is someone at home, they can legitimately talk about delayed flights, and if not, they can come and rob the house!

Have all the Gibbs calls been made within the Indianapolis area?

It was US Airways telling me that my flight was delayed. A live person- no telemarketing.

This is a legitimate number from US Airways.  My flight was cancelled today due to weather in Denver.   I received a call as soon as the flight was cancelled to let me know so I could work on other arrangements.

Called once, I answered the phone, and was disconnected right away.  He called back again, with five seconds, and he said he was from US Air.  He stated that there was a slight change in a reservation that I have booked for a return trip from Europe. (My return flight would be taking off ten minutes later than scheduled)  Was very polite and helpful.  Did not seem to be a telemarketer at all.

Just got a call from this number, it IS a legitimate US Airways phone number but it is not automated - it's a manned call.  If they called you and didn't leave a number, chances are they had the wrong number (based on your voicemail greeting) so did not leave a message.

HAS INFORMATION CONCERNING THE END OF THE WORLD AND THE TRUE MEANING BEHIND THE TV SHOW "LOST"

Caller said he was from USAirways and then proceeded to offer some travel service for a trial period. Caller ID said "Gibbs Edris" so I didn't believe it.

The number is from US Airways customer service

I've got 8 voice mails today -- with no messages. Obviously an automated type of situation. Irritating.
