When I saw "discount club" on caller ID, I knew it was a scam call.  So I picked it up and yelled "NOT NOW -- THE YANKEES ARE ON".  Then I hung up.  I knew it didn't make any difference to them, but it made me feel better.

Do what I did and reset your voice mail to pick up after about 8 rings.  I was having the same problem, now I get no messages at all from these scammers.  You may have to call your service provider to do it, I am with Verizon and they had to reset it for me.  No messages and I set all the scam calls to no ring.

Calls repeatedly, does not leave a message.

I'm a small business and I need more money and they can give it to me.  Calls all the time, and I assigned them a silent ring tone and send them straight to voice mail.  Now I have to check my voice mail all the time because they keep leaving me junk messages.  These people need to be shut down, they are harassing.

We keep getting calls with no one there from this number! We are a busy business and do not need this to continue!!

I so pissed off these chinese a***oles keep calling

Called yesterday with no voicemail.  Today I got a pre-recorded message.  Didn't really listen to it and blocked the number.

Every day some one call me from this number and wake me up .I don't want somebody call me from this number,thats why i did remove but it does not work n they still keep calling me.I don't know what to do in this situation.

Call received today.. Glad to hear it is a junk caller.

Definately a scam.  ALL VISA cards start with 4 so they are trying to make you believe they already have your card number when they don't.  MasterCard starts with 5, Discover 6011, Amex 3.

It also lets them know it's a working number.

Scammers CID said discount club. Don't answer just losers trying to rip people off. I like to use an air horn on them could not pick up phone in time. I'll  get them next time.

Don't usually answer unknown calls, but I was waiting for a satellite repairman to show up so I answered. A "lady" with a heavy accent said she was with Guideposts magazine's billing department and that the credit card I renewed with last time ("your VISA starting with the number 4") expired in 2010 and they needed my new credit card into to process my renewal. I told her to send me a statement and I would write my info on it and mail it back. She said the mail is not secure and I should give her the info over the phone. I told her "bye-bye".

When a tm starts talking jut press the #1 key (any key) for about 5 seconds. Then say I Can't hear you.  I had a fast talker that wouldn't let me say a word.  When I pressed a key for 5 seconds She had stop talking.  I said I can't hear you are saying.  She started to talk again  and I pressed a key and it stop her  She hung up.  GUARNTEEDV TO WORK.

I received a call from a number listed as only New York, NY
from 347-227-2676.  When I answered there was no one on the line.  I did not call
The number back but can see from other posts that this is some sort of phone scam.  
Very annoying and needs to be dealt with.

Received a call from this number and all it stated is to press any number to be removed from their call list.

Caller ID said "discount club".  Obvious scam - didn't bother to answer.  They should just disband the 'do not call' registry -- what's the point?  It serves no purpose...I get more scam calls than ever.  I put my mother on the registry and her calls have doubled.

6/9 @ 9:15am.  This is about 10th or 12th call in the last month.  Make it stop!!

Call received @ 9:48 AM  5/21/13.  I did not answer because number & caller not familiar and no message was left.

No message left.  Of course not!  Scammers never leave messages; they just call you at all hours to aggravate you into disconnecting/changing your number.

Seriously, what legitimate insurance company would call themselves the Discount Club then call you numerous times and not leave a message?

I just got a call from the number to confirm my husband's Reader's Digest subscription - which he did not order, nor never has had a subscription. Caller ID said Discount Club. The caller was very rude when I told her we never ordered the magazine and hung up on my husband when he got on the phone.

Began calling 4/9/13.  I'm tired of it already.

I agree.  It had the same recording, but I don't want to press a digit because I don't know what it may do.  I didn't answer because I didn't recognize that number and it isn't from my area.. and I have no reason to expect calls from anyone except dumb or troublesome things like this.

kept saying "what magazines are you receiving sir"
