Unless you were a co-signer or dealt with what was his estate, then they CANNOT legally collect.
Go to ftc.gov and read the FDCPA and learn about your rights.

Scumbag Indian bottom feeders. They buy either bad debt and try and collect or outright try and extort money from people on non-legitimate debts. I let them fall into the bit bucket.
