I had gotten a call from good ole Moses, too.  He called a couple days in a row.  I finally called him back, knowing it was bs.  He identified himself as being a Federal agent & told me he was going to come to my office & arrest me.  After I told him it sounded like he was harassing me, he hung up & has never called back.

hey i got a same call from them and they just told there is a payday loan pending on my name lol...god save Americans from such big scammers... i had just filed a complaint against them at CIA....

I just got a call from Moses Matthew, with the same kinds of threats.  This person has a very heavy accent and threatens legal action each time.  The same person is making each phone call, but using a different name each time.  Please beware of this scam!

I have gotten a couple from this number, a woman whose name is Moses Mathews, LOL.  Stating the same as above.  I ignored the calls, as I don't answer calls from numbers I don't recognize.  I am sure they did get my info from the payday loans I had tried for.  UGH  I will never think of that again.  I just called them back and told them to never call me again as I know it is a scam, I hope they do stop, but I am not counting on it.  But, I do feel it necessary to go to my bank when I get paid and get a new account and such.  Just to be safe.  This is pretty scary, and shows just how easy it is for the criminals to get at us.

Jack Martin, Yeap He called me the first time saying I owe 500, BS!! I explained to him why i know i dont owe that kind of money, He told me he recieved my app the day before yesterday. I never filled out for a loan. He hung up on me. My phone went dead. Charged it Turned it back on. I had a voicemail. It was him again!!!! Saying dont regard this message or YOU will be in a bad situation if i don't hear from you or your attorney good luck on your situation. I  called that fool back. I asked for the first time i called back the second time i called back they still didn't pass the phone to A SO CALLED JACK MARTIN. Now they told me i owe 1500, Wtf He asked me if i was able to pay the 1500 I was like hell no, He just said he was goin to take to my state court, i said go ahead. After all that sh** i made a police report.

OMG I CANT BELIEVE THIS!! I've been getting calls from him for awhile and today we got in a real heated argument and now he keeps calling my phone and hanging up in my face. He said his name is Shane. Yeah right!! This s**t is getting on my nerves!!

Well they called again last night, this time on my cell phone. it was well past midnight when i got home and I normally don't check my voicemail since I was having touble with the phone in the 1st place. , I called them back and left the following message, " I have reported your phone number to your state's attoney office and to my home state's attoney's , and also to the F.B.I. because they said and I quote " THAT I WAS GOING TO PAY THEM THE $5000.00 DOLLARS ONE WAY OR THE OTHER !" I told that was an attemped AT extortion and that's against Fedaral law.! I hope the F.B.I can do something about this because I wonder how many unforgenate souls fell for this kind of harrassment and paid these crooks. I am not changing my number,since I had this # for over 12 years and a lot of my relatives are really up in age and this is the only way that they can keep in touch with me. IF THEY CALL DON'T PAY THEM A CENT, SIC' THE LAW ON THESE CROOKS.

I've been receiving calls from an unknown number that leave a message claiming that I have to contact them regarding a case that is being filed against my name and social security number and I or my "receipt" attorney needs to contact them immediately. They wish me a good day and God Bless. I'm sure they have no idea who God is. Anyway, I was given this number to call back and talk to them because I've been reading post after post about how these scammers are pretending to be law enforcement officers and threatening people with jail or worse. Of course, this is entirely untrue. A person cannot be incarcerated for not paying a debt. When a woman answered, (East Indian accent) I asked for Shawn Hernandez, the contact person I was supposed to call. She asked who I was. I told her that it shouldn't matter who it was that she needs to connect me to Shawn Hernandez. When this person came on the line, I basically screamed that he needed to stop calling me because I knew it was a scam. I wasn't really too nice about it and hung up. Immediately, he called back and left a very lengthy derogatory message on my voicemail about what he was going to do to me in a very sexual and demeaning manner. I called him back and thanked him for the proof he gave me to prosecute his sorry butt because I now had a recording. He basically threatened me again and hung up on me.

I have been recieving calls from these people for about 3 months now, my interactions have been the same as the others that you are reading. A woman named April ( definately not her real name, since she can barely speak English) calls. I never answer the phone anymore, but she leaves a message about how my attorney needs to contact them, blah blah blah. She really pissed me off today tho, she went a little further, probubly because I never answer the phone. She went on to say this would be the last time she would call me and she wishes me good luck as this whole situation is going to come down around me, and she feels bad for my child whom I am listed as a primary parent for! She has some nerve, and I'm not sure how she sleeps at night. When I told my husband about it, he called and ripped them a new one! What he said I'm not going to put on here... The person he talked to said they are going to our local police dept. tomorrow at noon, and then they are going to come find me and "drag" me to court, their words not mine! They said if we just paid them $600.00 it would all be solved. Obvioulsy we are not gonig to do that. I am going to call my local police dept. and file a report. We have changed our bank account information and I'm thinking about changing my phone number as well. They havent called me at work yet, knock on wood. The best advice I can give you is to ignore them, and change your information.

I got this call at my job on Thursday,10 ,2011 here in  Baltimore, this is the 8th time they had called ,but it's the 1st time my supervisor had spoken to them.. The person who called told my super visor that I needed to call him back ASAP to discuss a pending legal matter. I CALLED on the 12th and all I got was a voice mail message saying that the person I was trying to reach was unavailble. This time he was calling himself "Jack Marshall" the last time someone like that call me said his name was "Mike Green" and the I was being sue for wire mail fraud, money luarding,, using my S.S. to commit fraud. and a few other things that I know are a Class A Felonies. . he claimed that (they) would be coming to pick me up at my home and take me to court. he also stated that  when I'm am found guilty I would have to pay his company $5000.00. I asked him repeat that and when he did , I stated a few facts,such as what we do in this  country is first be  served court papers by a process server,  or a member of law in forcement, second thing,the person couldn't give me a business phone number or address of where his law firm was located, nor could he tell my the docket number of the papers fromthe court. that are a matter of public record which anyone can asscess on line,, which  he couldn't or wouldn't provide, and last but not least all during the conversation I kept asking "If this was a SCAM?"  which the person with a heavy indian accent began to scream and yell at me, damming that I listen to him or else the police would be at my door, which I calmly told him to send them, and also about that 5K payment, I told him to suck the sweat off the virtual center of my anus. and HUNG- UP!
 Ten minutes later he called  back at my job and began to scream and yell so loud that the people standing could heard every word as I hung up. At that time he had contacted my two(2)references I had used on my payday loan appication.He was usiing the phone numbers 718-873-9112 and 310-872-2861  saying that yhey located in Georgetown outside of Washington D.C. Where I work there is an collection agengy right down the hall and they were upset that someone was breaking all of the laws that they have to abide by. My advice if they call and can't provide proof of anything hang up and report them.

these scavangers called me yesterday 02/08/2010 and gave me stories same as above...they are thieves and deserve to rot in Hell. pls be careful when filling out online application, some personal details should not be given. they called from 347-236-3135 and the one i spoke to said he was Clair Smith....Im working on tracing them as they deserve to be arrested soonest.......

Unwanted calls. Heard and read this was a scam, due to I had visited payday websites. I do not want no more calls to my phone or my work!

I got a vm msg from an "Officer Jack Martin" (Indian Accent) regarding an important legal issue that I or my attorney needs to address asap.  To call him back at 347-236-3135.  Called and left a vm msg on Sat 01/29/11, no one called on Monday.  So I called on Tues, 02/01/11, regarding this and a person answered the phone, asked for Officer Jack Martin.  He stated that I was going to have a lawsuit brought against me by Advanced Cash that included Federal Racketerring, Collateral Deception, and Depth by Deception and with bail, serving, initiating, and filing in my county courthouse would bring the tab to over $5k. The papers would be sent to me email address in 24 hours.  However, I can make restitution in 14 days if I'm honest and am willing to make restitution.  I said what would the amount be to avoid this going to court, he stated "$389.56."  He then explained the reason it is not a round number is that it includes interest.  I then stated I would like to be sent proof of this debt.  He stated that is included in the court documents.  I then stated that it is required by federal law if requested by the debtor before making that payment.  He stated I needed to make that payment today to avoid this lawsuit.  I then stated to him that it is like receiving an email from somone in the UK that tells me I won the UK's Lottery $8.6 million dollars and that all I need to do is send them $150 so that they can deliver the funds to me (He didn't like that analogy).  I then asked since he was an officer for his precincts # since I knew that this 347-236-3135 is located in Brooklyn, NY.  He then placed me on infinite hold without saying anything.  Someone came back on the line after 20 minutes and it wasn't "Officer Martin" but another person.  When I started talking and stating what I was on hold for, he acted like he couldn't hear me at all even though he could at the beginning and during the reason I was waiting on hold.  I hung up.  Don't pay a thing to them.  I believe the other person is right, they get your information from these payday loans locations - DEAL STRICTLY WITH THE FINANICAL INSTITUTION, not these website locations that find places to loan you the money.  Oh, by the way, I don't owe a payday loan advance to anyone.  I was looking for one earlier in the year (Jan. 2011) and got money from a friend instead.  So this is a SCAM!!!

I got a call from this number today from a guy with a heavy indian accent. I had one the other day with the similar message. Apparently it's urgent & to have my attorney call them as it's urgent. I think it's a scam because I owe no one anything especially not to someone with such a heavy accent. They get your information from payday loan websites so be careful when you ask for one over the internet. If you're going to use one go to a direct site not one of these lending trees cause they sell your information to other companies. I am going to my bank today & getting all my banking stuff changed just in case they try to tap into my account. I already put a consumer statement on my credit report. Again these people are scam artist do not fall for their threats. They hate it when you don't call them back either. LOL
